Elliot – 7. Great stop from Jovetic. Can’t have a single complaint, did his job well.

Janmaat – 7. Added some experience to the back four and was a good outlet down the right.
Coloccini – 8. Colossus, back to his best last night. That one hairy moment where he spooned the ball onto the post aside, he was majestic.
Dummett – 8. Probably his best ever performance for us – up against one of the best strike-forces in the country and kept them silent. Unlucky not to score.
Haïdara – 7. No complaints, he got forward well and kept City quiet down that side.

R. Taylor – 7. For not being in the side for 2 years, he was outstanding. Literally put his bollocks on the line for us, you can’t ask more than that.
Abeid – 8. Helped bridge the attack to defence and got stuck in, didn't look phased by the occasion at all.
Colback 6. Probably our weakest player on the night, and he wasn’t even that bad – just largely anonymous.

Obertan – 8. Great outlet down the right, was a constant nuisance to the back four and was unlucky not to have got Kolarov sent off. Great performance.
Armstrong – 7. Worked hard despite being isolated and was unlucky not to score just before H/T.
Aarons – 7. Took his goal well and despite it being obvious he wasn’t fully fit he put a shift in. High hopes for this kid.

Ameobi – 7. Can’t recall him doing much in his 45 minutes on the pitch but he put a few lovely passes through and his long legs helped relieve the pressure.
Sissoko – 8. He’s getting back to the Sissoko we signed. Great finish for the goal and gave us an injection of energy where we needed it.
Rivière – 6. Helped relieve some of the pressure and his hold up play was OK.

Pardew – 8. Well, what can you say? I was up in arms at his team selection but was forced to eat a large slice of humble pie at F/T after one of the best team performances I can remember. His subs were spot on again. Seems to have the team all pulling in the right direction for which he deserves some credit, I hope he can keep it up.

Elliot – 8- Excellent saves, good at coming out good kicking was faultless

Janmaat – 7. Solid, did what he needed to do
Coloccini – 8- Excellent apart from that near OG he was sublime, made interceptions and tackles galore
Dummett – 8. The local lad who is not a footballer proved us wrong for 90 min, should have scored but if he plays like this he can forget playing at full back
Haïdara – 7/.5 Lovely little one two's with Aarons, should start against Liverpol

R. Taylor – 7.5 100 percent effort, goal saving block, crosses were iffy but to come back like that and play that well; amazing. Also gives us a threat at set pieces would not mind him starting against Liverpool to be fair
Abeid – 8. We have some excellent youngsters, bossed Toure one of the best players in the world all night, brilliant
Colback 6. Didn't do much, but I'd rather he gets dropped for Tiote

Obertan – 8.5 MOTM Pacey and can cross, was a thorn in there side the entire night. Should have got a pen and red card
Armstrong – 6.5 Didn't do much and was unlucky not to score
Aarons – 7.5 What a finish. We have young English talent in him and Sammy, amazing what proper wingers can do

Ameobi – 7. Held the ball up well, and was composed
Sissoko – 8.Beast. a man monster in midfield
Rivière – 6. Alright, I was too f***ed to notice him at this point

Pardew – 10- Still want him sacked but it was a managerial master class, we we're fantastic for 90 minutes. Perfect Subs and he knew what he was doing with the starting 11. Don't blame him for playing Aarons because he scored, sometimes you need to know precaution to the wind
