I guess is this one... imo it's crap.

Re: Pardew's Reported Dressing Room Rant
If reports that he's lost the players are true then as a manager there is no coming back from that. He will be sacked sooner rather than later.Juliet Papa Golf wrote:Doubt it. Pardew's been without his 3 most important players for the last 2/3 games plus the Cabaye-Kinnear debacle effectively excuses Pardew for the last couple of weeks (not that I think he's been under any real pressure anyway).TJR wrote:
Never heard that one. Apparently Colo is influential in the dressing room though and the players respect him more than Pardew, like they did with Cabaye. Harper, Nolan, Barton and Smith before that. Losing Cabaye and Colo being away was supposedly a major factor in Pardew loosing the dressing room. Maybe Colo coming back can salvage his Newcastle managerial career but if reports are true the writing is on the wall and one more defeat will seal his fate.

I would take a defeat if we get Landrup or a semi decent manager,100 per cent
I despise Pardew now, but I actually can't fathom Newcastle without him now

Re: Alan Pardew out
Yeah thats the worry. Who knows what Ashley will do, I doubt even he does himself. I hope he has one more go at it. Employs a MD, DOF and manager on merit not on who his drinking buddies are and has a go at running the club properly and actual tries to take us forward. However at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if he made a massive cock up again and got someone like Dennis Wise in.Juliet Papa Golf wrote:I wouldn't mind it if we got a competent manager in, but I'd put a good amount of money on it being a f***ing shocking replacement.TJR wrote:Tough one this. We really need rid of Pardew but at the same time we really need a win. Like Rob Lee said though, he wanted Sunderland to win that infamous game which they did because in the long term that was the best possible outcome for Newcastle United, if we had of won we'd have a very different history from that point on and without the likes of Shearer it probably wouldn't have been as good.
Now I'm not suggesting Pardew is in anyway as bad as Gullit but now is the right time to part company. If Pardew was to leave after defeat to Villa, I'd be able to forgive him for the past year and a half and remember him more for the good times before that. However with each run of poor form, each cup knock out, his reputation is slowly diminishing and with that so are the positive memories. He's taken us a far as he can, now is the right time for change. We are safe now so a new manager would have the rest of this season to get to know his squad and implement a philosophy and could hit the ground running next season.

It's a "win lose win" situation. Win for him for not getting the sack, lose for us and the club, and win for Villa.MultipleJesuses wrote:I bet we lose to Villa and he doesn't get sacked

Re: Pardew's Reported Dressing Room Rant
Agreed, but why just now and not after the Spurs game is this being reported? Also I'd say we were in a far worse place with Pardew around December/January last year- so why wasn't he under the same pressure then?TJR wrote:If reports that he's lost the players are true then as a manager there is no coming back from that. Re: Pardew's Reported Dressing Room Rant
I haven't a clue and this whole series of events at the club in recent weeks has been baffling. Supposedly Pardew cancelled todays day off after the result on Wednesday but Sammy has been photographed in France and there are rumours that Pardew has today flown out to Tenerife. Also the rumours that some of the French lads have been kicking up a fuss ever since Cabaye left and that coupled with the recent form has supposedly turned the dressing room. Who knows whats going on though, the whole situation just seems bonkers. Newcastle United are a cracking soap opera but as a football club I do despair of us at times.Juliet Papa Golf wrote:Agreed, but why just now and not after the Spurs game is this being reported? Re: Pardew gone if we lose to Villa
We all realize this is just the back page of some rag right?
I could write "Pardew to sign 12 year extension if victorious against Villa!" and publish, doesn't make it true. Some journalist just made up an article.

Of course it shouldn't be taken as gospel. But especially after the likes of thisMatthieu wrote:We all realize this is just the back page of some rag right?

A source told the Chronicle: “The manager was loud and clear in that he was not happy with things. He said after the game a day off on Saturday was cancelled. Some of the players were far from happy. It is obvious Newcastle are missing Yohan Cabaye. He helped the manager restore some order and that has been a big miss.”
There could very well be something in it.

Something similar in the Mirror apparently. Also mentions the rumours that Ashley is planning to sell up soon.

Re: Pardew gone if we lose to Villa
I can't see any reason for Ashley to do this apart from to appease the fans. In his eyes Pardew is almost the perfect manager this season, he's getting us 8/9th place which won't get us Europa but is pretty much the highest otherwise. Also he's never critical of Ashley in interview, from Ashley's viewpoint there doesn't seem any logic to it
