Express back page tomorrow: Pardew one game to save his job

Re: Pardew's Reported Dressing Room Rant
Never heard that one. Apparently Colo is influential in the dressing room though and the players respect him more than Pardew, like they did with Cabaye. Harper, Nolan, Barton and Smith before that. Losing Cabaye and Colo being away was supposedly a major factor in Pardew loosing the dressing room. Maybe Colo coming back can salvage his Newcastle managerial career but if reports are true the writing is on the wall and one more defeat will seal his fate.Yacob wrote:He was back at training ground next week, could be back for Villa. He's probably just been getting the goal updates on the Sky Sports app while down his local in Argentina getting rat faced. He probably doesn't know what been going on behind the scenes other than Cabaye leaving. We do need him back though, he's absolutely vital to us and another of those players (like Cabaye was) who supposedly get the team to respect Pardew and gels everything together. Shame he had to have another winter break again like last year, wonder when his holiday will be over this year.
Re: Pardew's Reported Dressing Room Rant
I'm not sure what to think about that. If you're going to sack him, do it straight after the Spurs game, get a new manager in this weekend, have a full week of prep before the first game. Then again, when did we ever do anything logically?Yacob wrote:Express back page tomorrow: Pardew one game to save his job

Saying that, I don't really want us to lose. I f***ing hate Villa too, but it seems to be win win

It would probably be better for the long term future of the club if we lost but I really hope we don't.

You can almost guarantee we will put in an awful display but still pick up a win

Re: Alan Pardew out
I want us to win every match, but the fact he's one game away from the sack suggests it's only a matter of time before he goes. He won't be here in the summer, I'm fairly certain of that. This season Ashley has been setting him up to fail.
Re: Alan Pardew out
I'm far from classing myself as pro-Pardew, but I dread to think who we'll get in if he goes <grim>
Re: Alan Pardew out
Tough one this. We really need rid of Pardew but at the same time we really need a win. Like Rob Lee said though, he wanted Sunderland to win that infamous game which they did because in the long term that was the best possible outcome for Newcastle United, if we had of won we'd have a very different history from that point on and without the likes of Shearer it probably wouldn't have been as good.
Now I'm not suggesting Pardew is in anyway as bad as Gullit but now is the right time to part company. If Pardew was to leave after defeat to Villa, I'd be able to forgive him for the past year and a half and remember him more for the good times before that. However with each run of poor form, each cup knock out, his reputation is slowly diminishing and with that so are the positive memories. He's taken us a far as he can, now is the right time for change. We are safe now so a new manager would have the rest of this season to get to know his squad and implement a philosophy and could hit the ground running next season.

Re: Pardew's Reported Dressing Room Rant
Doubt it. Pardew's been without his 3 most important players for the last 2/3 games plus the Cabaye-Kinnear debacle effectively excuses Pardew for the last couple of weeks (not that I think he's been under any real pressure anyway).TJR wrote:Never heard that one. In what way does it excuse him for the past few weeks?

I wouldn't mind it if we got a competent manager in, but I'd put a good amount of money on it being a f***ing shocking replacement.TJR wrote:Tough one this. Pardew gone if he loses to Villa - Sunday Express
No idea how to attack the photo but I'm sure someone can attach it, tweeted by NUFCfans in the last few minutes.
SO question time. Who would gladly accept defeat against Villa in exchange for Pardew's exit?
