Your predictions for the next 6 games

Post by UlversToon »

Don't often start new threads so forgive me for dragging another of these up!

So, with the transfer window opening in January these are our next 6 fixtures before the window opens - I have included the game on 2 January on the assumption we will not have done any business by then:-

6 Dec = Liverpool (H)
13 Dec = Spurs (A)
19 Dec = Villa (H)
26 Dec = Everton (H)
28 Dec = West Brom (A)
2 Jan = Arsenal (A)

In all honesty I can't see us getting more than 3 points and that's from the Villa game and I'm not overly optimistic about that as we'll probably be going into the game after losing the previous four games quite heavily.

Does anybody seriously think enough business will be done in January to save our season?

I don't want to sound too negative but coming up after the Arsenal game is Man Utd at home!

13 Dec = Spurs (A) - 0 | Loss by 2+
19 Dec = Villa (H) - 1 | Score draw
26 Dec = Everton (H) - 0 | Loss by 1
28 Dec = West Brom (A) - 0 | Loss by 1
2 Jan = Arsenal (A) - 0 | Loss by 2+

Alternatively

6 Dec = Liverpool (H) - 0 | Loss by 3+
13 Dec = Spurs (A) - 0 | Loss by 2+
McClaren leaves
Rodgers arrives
19 Dec = Villa (H) - 3 | Win by 1
26 Dec = Everton (H) - 1 | Score draw
28 Dec = West Brom (A) - 1 | Score draw
2 Jan = Arsenal (A) - 0 | Loss by 1

Moyes arrives
19 Dec = Villa (H) - 1 | Score draw
26 Dec = Everton (H) - 0 | Loss by 1
28 Dec = West Brom (A) - 0 | Loss by 1
2 Jan = Arsenal (A) - 0 | Loss by 2+

So, depending on who is in charge, no more than 15 points from 20 games and on that form relegation just seems to be a formality! <neg>

Liverpool - 1-3
Spurs - 0-3
Villa - 1-1
Everton - 0-3
West Brom - 1-2
Arsenal - 0-5

We just can't stop leaking goals so I'm not expecting much. McClaren sacked after the Villa game.

Positivity people.

6 Dec = Liverpool (H) = 3 - After trailing 1-0 since the first 30 seconds, Iron Mike decides to stop the rot and scores a hat-trick in the last 90 seconds.

13 Dec = Spurs (A) = 3 - Inspired by the Iron Mike hat-trick vs Liverpool, Rob Elliot scores a hat-trick from goal line clearances.

19 Dec = Villa (H) = 3 - Gouffran and Obertan decide that they need to put themselves in the shop window and score 2 goals each. Afterwards they sign new 5 year contracts at NUFC.

26 Dec = Everton (H) = 3 - Real Madrid target Sissoko seals his £40 million transfer with 2 stunning goals; assiting himself in each one three times.

28 Dec = West Brom (A) = 3 - Steve McClaren puts his faith in Paul Dummet and plays him as a false nine. Dummet fills his boots with a first half hat-trick before reverting to his usual LB position and scoring two own goals.

2 Jan = Arsenal (A) - 3 - New signing Lionel Messi makes his debut at LB and assists Dummet for his 2 goals.

We'll get thumped by Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal, lose against Everton and West Brom and draw against Villa. 1 point. This will leave us bottom with the worst goal difference in the League.
It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

That's just silly, no way the paperwork can clear for Messi to play by the second. He'll be watching from the stands with Pogba

Hopefully Guardiola might be able to pull some strings and get those deals pushed through for his first game in charge.

Just because Obafemi is still only 25 years old doesn't make it recent <gent>

We might get one point at home to Villa. Am I being too optimistic?

Depends on how many goals you think we'll score in the other five defeats.

Think at absolute best we'll get points against Villa (who are s***), and West Brom (who seem to only aim to not lose).

McClaren is at the desperate stage of his management of Newcastle.
