Corruption in the 2018 & 2022 World Cup bidding contests

An awful lot of information there. A lot of it needs to be investigated further. The whole thing seems to be an absolute farce though. Seems to be no one involved who wasn't corrupt <laugh>. Shows how incompetent we were, we couldn't even get the votes when we tried to do it dodgy <laugh>. FIFA as a whole is just completely f***ed up.

The whole thing is a right mess, not sure if it ever will be investigated properly, probably not, but for the good of the game FIFA needs to be dissolved, a new governing body with the interests of football at heart needs to be set up and any individuals associated with any wrongdoing in regards to the 2018 and 2022 World Cups should be banned from having any involvement with football.

Sepp runs a pretty bogus set up designed to divide and conquer.
Give tiny countries same vote as large ones so easier to garner support when votes are needed to get re-elected.
Give funds to small countries in order to buy loyalty.
Hey, presto stay in power for 20 years.
Sad but true.

Corruption? At FIFA? Can't be. Those old farts are the most honest people in all dimensions.

It's not actually that bright. In an effort to keep the temperature down in the stadium, the Qatari designers have made it 'snow' and that blinding glare is just the artists interpretation of the light bouncing off snowflakes.

I assumed the 'air conditioned' stadia would be completely covered?

Hasn't it come out that many of the stadiums have been cut from the plan? And I don't think any of those designs were final either.

I have no idea to be honest. I'm not surprised if they've decided to cut a few of them though. It makes sense to just use the bare minimum possible considering they are going to knock them down after the world cup.

That's another reason why they shouldn't have got the world as well, its madness to throw a load of money, and workers lives in some cases, at buliding stadiums that the country has no use for after the world cup.

The World Cup should only go to serious football nations who have teams that will actually use the stadia after the tournament. Rather than just encouraging the wasting of valuable resources by letting countries build stadia just to knock them down afterwards in order to host the tournament.
