Your Player Ratings vs Fulham

Post by Al-Calo »

Rate the players, leave a comment and Beatski'll collate them and we'll use them for the TFI match report and TFI database. The more people that leave ratings the better it will be. It's important that you don't exaggerate players ratings because otherwise it ruins the purpose, so be as objective as possible. If I don't like the look of your ratings due to taking the piss, I just won't use them. Also, use the order I've posted, as its a lot harder to collect the data otherwise.

Use this order

Krul -

Debuchy -
Yanga-Mbiwa -
Coloccini -
Santon-

Ben Arfa -
Anita -
Sissoko -
Marveaux -

Shola -
Cissé -

Cabaye -

Krul - 6 Nowt to do

Debuchy - 7 Very good defensively, good attacking.
Yanga-Mbiwa - 7.5 One of his best matches. Him and Colo are a rock.
Coloccini - 8 MOTM
Santon- 7 Massive improvement defensively

Ben Arfa - 8 EEEEEEEE
Anita - 6.5 Not as good as last match creatively, but kept the play ticking over
Sissoko - 7 His bursts were good, just needs to work on finishing to move. If he learns to finish, he WILL be lethal.
Marveaux - 6.5 decent match. I love Marv, but he wasn't as creative most of today, due to poor forward movement

Shola - 6 Good hold up play, did what he was supposed to do. Actually happy with him today
Cissé - 5 Really poor running, not enough effort, poor long shots, nearly scored near the end though

Cabaye - 6 Got stuck in, but wasted his chance at goal.
Gouffran - 6.5
Rémy - 6

Thoughts: Remy didn't bring that much more incisiveness! Aha, but I am confident he will deliver. When we have all our players working to get up the field, we are a hell of an attacking force. Fulham were very poor. Sloppy passing, lack of desire, defended well I guess. They defended virtually all match. Poor officiating, giving many fouls to us, which weren't. Our passing this season has been much better, an although I would like Pardew out, he has shown some tactical awareness this year. Our passing has been much neater than last year - when the commentator is saying how it is awful passing, he should've seen us last year - we were much worse! Against West Ham, we played a bit of long ball due to the horrific weather at the time. Tactical awareness like I said. Kinda.
Really happy with this performance, we have dominated possession in both home games so far which is good.

Krul - 6 - Decent save from a free kick but was seldom called upon.

Debuchy - 7- No one caused him any problems but I was impressed with him going forward.
Yanga-Mbiwa - 8 - million times better than Morcambe. Bent in his pocket all afternoon.
Coloccini - 7 - Few decent blocks but wasn't really challenged.
Santon- 7 - Made some good runs but again wasn't really put under pressure final ball was lacking.

Ben Arfa - 8 - What a goal. Still f***s around a bit too much but he was our bright spark until the final twenty.
Anita - 7 - Composed did nothing wrong.
Sissoko - 7 - Bit sloppy but looked to be getting back to his old self as his confidence grew.
Marveaux - 6 - Very meh.

Shola - 5 - Got no service but did nothing when he actually had the ball.
Cissé - 5 - Greedy

Cabaye - 5 - Stupid and very very aggressive.
Gouffran - 7 - Some brilliant runs and deserved a goal. Showing promise.
Rémy - 7 - Hard to give him a high score because he wasn't on for long but he changed the game. We became everything I want us to be when he came on.

Overall we were a bit slow in the first half but at least we kept it on the deck and were let down be the lack of movement up top. Second half just got better as it went on so much pace and power, we moved it around about 10x quicker as well. Can't wait for Remy to start <divax>

Krul - 6. Little to do but he was good when he was called on, impressive parry late on against a Fulham attack.

Debuchy - 6.5 More solid by the match. Still doesn't fill me with confidence but can put in a shift.
Yanga-Mbiwa - 7.5 Solid
Coloccini - 7.5 Good as always
Santon- 7 Much better defensively, and threatening going forward.

Ben Arfa - 8 GOALAZO! Was threatening around the box and capped it off with a superb finish. Still doesn't like to cut inside which is frustrating.
Anita - 6.5 Had a quiet game, but distributed well.
Sissoko - 8.5 (MOTM) Looked up for it the entire game, blitzed through and ended up with some lovely passing in the last 10 minutes.
Marveaux - 6 Another anonymous game.

Shola - 5 First touch was terrible and hold-up play wasn't really there.
Cissé - 6 Looked decent, made a few good runs, but still seeing far too little of the ball and reluctant to take a chance.

Cabaye - 6 The game was changed by him and Remy coming on, but he seemed a bit riled and dived into a couple of tackles.
Gouffran - 6.5 Did well, should have done better with his chance at the end.
Rémy - 7.5 Game was changed by him coming on. Slotted some lovely passes through in the last 15 minutes.

Overall: first convincing win we've had since Chelsea back in January. While it doesn't disguise the problems, I think the fact that the players seemed much more up for it and willing to win made a world of difference.

Krul - 6 - Didn't have much to do but did it very well.

Debuchy - 6.5 - As solid defensively as I think I've ever seen him. Didn't give away a penalty <awe>
Yanga-Mbiwa - 8.5 - Ridiculous, even got forward well.
Coloccini - 8.5 - One of our better attacking players for the first half and first half of the second half; solid in defence.
Santon- 6.5 - s*** at crossing and anything going forward but solid defensively.

Ben Arfa - 7.5 - Great goal and immense the last 20 minutes, incredibly frustrating for the rest of the match though.
Anita - 6.5 - Nothing spectacular just simple passing. Lost the ball a few times.
Sissoko - 7 - Drove forward well, appalling decision making.
Marveaux - 5.5 - Anonymous.

Shola - 4 - Showed his presence a couple of times but otherwise pretty poor.
Cissé - 6 - Perked up in the last 20 minutes when he was actually getting proper chances.

Cabaye - 5.5 - Tried so hard and got so far but in the end it didn't really matter. Fouly McFoulerson
Gouffran - 6 - Missed a sitter but looked good otherwise.
Rémy - 7 - Didn't really notice him all that much but he drew other players away from Ben Arfa and seemed to be a nuisance. Changed the game.

Krul - 7 - Hard to pick a fair rating when he had next to nothing to do. Made a good save.

Debuchy - 7 - Did his job in defence and linked up with the 'winger' in front of him well at times. Had a couple of dangerous shots.
Yanga-Mbiwa - 8 - Solid at the back and saved us from a near certain goal conceded at least once.
Coloccini - 8 - Also solid, got forward and attacked well as well, picking passes better than Anita and Sissoko combined.
Santon- 7 - See Debuchy, minus the shots.

Ben Arfa - 9 - Great goal, put Cissé through a couple of times, still wasteful for large swathes of the game.
Anita - 6 - Did decently, his inability to challenge physically lost us the ball a couple of times though.
Sissoko - 8 - Drove forward with the ball repeatedly and effectively. Our only effective way to get the ball through the middle for most the game.
Marveaux - 7 - Started off well, tucked in and swapped with Sissoko at times to good effect, but wore off in relevance as the game went on.

Shola - 3 - This partnership doesn't work.
Cissé - 4 - This partnership doesn't work. Remembered how to football once Shola went off.

Cabaye - 7 - Rusty and rash, but still clearly a step up from Anita. Starting attacks from deep gave Fulham more to worry about than the previous laboured and slow build-up.
Gouffran - 6 - Another horrible miss.
Rémy - 8 - Changed the game. Went from static and ineffective Shola to having someone willing to run, make space and set up plays.

Krul - 7 - not much to do but good save from the free kick and Tarrabt, kicking wasn't as horrific as usual and played it short a lot more

Debuchy - 7 Much more solid defensively than usual and put in a couple of decent crosses
Yanga-Mbiwa - 7 Solid but unspectacular
Coloccini - 7 Nearly scored, but nearly cost us a goal, otherwise vital in defence
Santon- - 6 bit s*** going forward, solid defensively

Ben Arfa - 8 Points deducted for poor decision making in the first half, but ran the game in the second and deserved his amazing goal.
Anita - 6 - Solid but some poor passing in the first, probably the right choice to take him off for Cabs
Sissoko - 7 Looking more like his old self though still some poor passes, thought him and Marv linked well
Marveaux - 6 - Some nice ball control and deliveries from set pieces but in the first half gave the ball away cheaply

Shola - 4 - a very Shola performance, but wasn't well supported in the 1st half, held the ball up well
Cissé - 5 - only gets one more point than Shola for nearly scoring his header, looks like him and Remy can work together though

Cabaye - 6 Some very stupid decisions but I'd rather he was trying hard t get back into our good books than looking disinterested. Fouls could cost us the game on another day but also played some good balls going forward. I still hope we keep him.
Gouffran - 6 Made some promising runs and injected some more attacking impetus into the team, really needs to work on his shooting
Rémy - 7 Mint. Gave us that bit of extra energy and created some very good chances with movement and passes. Hopefully with the international break he'll be back to full fitness next game and can take Shola's place. I really like him, cisse and ben arfa up front together. Also good assist (if that pass was intended)

Pards - actually made good subs and changed our impetus at half time. It was a good idea to put Cabs on with Gouffy to change the formation. Still should play Cabaye further up the pitch though. Buy him another striker Mike.

Krul - 6 - Didn't have a lot to do, nice save from free kick and his control of his box was good.

Debuchy - 7 Solid performance, its nice to have an attacking full back who can cross and who can get a few shots in.
Yanga-Mbiwa - 8 Top class today, he stopped a few attacks with some great blocks. Best defender today. And he is calm on the ball which is a nice change from Taylor/Willo.
Coloccini - 7 Solid as always. Typical Colo display. I like it when he wanders forward during open play and he looks more dangerous from set plays.
Santon- 7 Decent performance going forward and at the back. He played a few nice crosses as well and he has finally stopped cutting inside in every attack

Ben Arfa - 8 Poor first half but it really picked up in the second half. The moment he hit the ball past Riise before running onto it was the moment his confidence picked up. We saw some classic Ben Arfa after that. His goal was incredible!!
Anita - 7 He kept things ticking over and he didn't do anything wrong. He doesn't really work in a midfield 2 as it puts too much pressure on his partner to get forward. He would be great in a midfield 3 as an anchorman.
Sissoko - 5 I didn't think he played well at all. Gave a few sloppy fouls a way and his passing was hit and miss. His decision making was awful particularly near the end when he should have shot when through on goal. I also think he needs to be in a midfield 3.
Marveaux - 6 He was alright, but his final ball was poor.

Shola - 5 Classic Shola.
Cissé - 6 He improved after the subs were made as he was playing with players who suited his game better. He will never work alongside Shola. His header was good that hit the bar.

Cabaye - 7 He was alright. He looked really up for the game which is good, maybe the mixed reception made him want to win the fans back. I hope he stays.
Gouffran - 6 I would rank him higher but he missed another great chance. His run near the end was great and he was unlucky not to score. He will be a good impact player as the season goes on.
Rémy - 7 I was really impressed with Remy, he linked up the play well and he doesn't look too selfish like Cisse is. He played a big part in the great interplay between our front line in the last 15 minutes

He did drive the team on quite a bit. He gave away a few fouls, but he got stuck in, won the ball back multiple time, more efficiently than Tiote would.

Krul - 7 - Didn't have to do a lot but made a couple great saves when he needed to. Mr Reliable as always!

Debuchy - 7 - Impressed today. Defensively good and looked alright going forward. Loved that acrobatic clearance.
Yanga-Mbiwa - 8.5 - Really, really good. Nothing was getting past him, great attacking play too.
Coloccini - 7 - Similar to MYM, mostly. Forming a fantastic partnership.
Santon- 7 - Defended well and tried to get forward, few wayward crosses.

Ben Arfa - 8 - Frustrating at times but was also our only attacking threat for a lot of the match. Brilliant goal.
Anita - 6 - Some nice little passes but couldn't really influence the game.
Sissoko - 8 - Got forward a lot, dictated play, that knock on towards the end was fantastic too <awe>
Marveaux - 6 - Started well, some nice touches and great movement, but final ball was missing.

Shola - 3 - Mostly poor. Shola.
Cissé - 5 - Poor for most of it but looked much better towards the end.

Cabaye - 6 - Tried hard. Fouled a bit. Wasn't great, I still hope that wasn't his farewell game though.
Gouffran - 6 - Maaaybe (probably) should have scored, but looked threatening at times going forward.
Rémy - 7 - Changed the game when he came on really. Showed attacking intent. Should be an important player.

Krul - 8 Pulled off a couple of important saves. Btw his gloves are massive! <laugh>

Debuchy - 6 Lunges too often
Yanga-Mbiwa - 6 Seems to be a frustrated midfielder
Coloccini - 8 Class
Santon- 6 Caught out afew times

Ben Arfa - 7 Frustrating 99%, then pops winner in.
Anita - 5 Was it me or he unwilling to tackle?
Sissoko - 6 Industrious but shoves players off the ball needlessly and gives away free kicks
Marveaux - 6 Unsure about him. Classy touches but I think he's lazy

Shola - 3 Sorry, not good enough at this standard
Cissé - 4 Never had shot on target. Might be wrong. Nothing fell for him

Cabaye - 5 Unsure how he could play when unfit.
Gouffran - 3 Our new Shola
Rémy - 7 Class

Krul - 6 - Nothing to day

Debuchy - 6.5 - Did well, defensive and attacking
Yanga-Mbiwa - 8 - Stand out defender and MOTM
Coloccini - 7 - Did well
Santon- 7 - Same as Debuchy

Ben Arfa - 7 - Infuriating player, so many mistakes, passing to the opposition, running into the opposition etc but that goal, also easily our main attacking thread for 70 minutes.
Anita - 6.5 - Did well, kept us passing.
Sissoko - 7 - Did well, lots of running and helped dominate the middle
Marveaux - 5 - Poor, invisible in the second half

Shola - 4 - What?
Cissé - 5.5 - Got better in the final 20 minutes

Cabaye - 6
Gouffran - 5 - Missed another sitter
Rémy - 7 - Changed the game, big threat.
