Newcastle United News:Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor have been ruled out of the match by Alan Pardew so James Perch and Mike Williamson are likely to keep their places. Yohan Cabaye and Danny Simpson should make their league returns after playing in the Europa League. Rob Elliot will not be in contention after picking up an injury against Bordeaux, in addition to Tim Krul who remains on the sidelines. Jak Alnwick is set to be on the bench as a result. Shane Ferguson is also pushing for a start after contributing three assists in as many games.
Manchester United News:Experienced trio Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are all set to return, having been ruled out of the Red Devils' midweek trip to Romania. Centre-back Jonny Evans should have recovered from a dead leg picked up in that game, Scott Wootton will play if Evans doesn't make it. There is still a doubt over winger Antonio Valencia. Defender Chris Smalling is back in training following a foot injury but this game will come too soon for him, and they are also without Ashley Young, Nemanja Vidic and Phil Jones.
