Newcastle's second away game in four days takes them to West London this evening for a 7.45pm kick-off at Loftus Road. All 2,700 away end tickets are sold out.

Travel: No scheduled disruptions

Where: Loftus Road W12 7PJ (18,360)
Nearest railway station: Shepherds Bush (1 mile)
Nearest tube station: White City (0.4 miles)
Return mileage from SJP: 566 miles.

Team: Following the victory over Derby a handful of minor ailments were reported, with Yoan Gouffran and Jack Colback expected to be rested.

Massadio Haidara made his comeback from injury for the reserves on Monday and Rob Elliot and Rolando Aarons are also both currently unavailable.

Having failed to feature at Derby on Saturday, there could be debuts for up to three players: Daryl Murphy, Christian Atsu and Achraf Lazaar.

QPR: Striker Sebastian Polter is doubtful.

Ahead of our visit, the R's drew at home with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. Previously this season at Loftus Road they've beaten Leeds 3-0 and lost 0-2 to Preston, while road trips brought a 2-0 success at Cardiff, 2-3 defeat at Barnsley and 1-0 win at Wigan.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is in the hot seat, while Les Ferdinand has the Director of Football role and James Perch remains on the playing staff.

Referee: Andy Davies - first NUFC game.

Subs n/u: Woodman, Anita, Abeid, Gouffran

The penultimate game of the 2014/15 season - and of John Carver's time in charge of United - got off to a decent start when Emmanuel Riviere fortuitously broke his Premier League duck with a two-footed fluke.

However the already-relegated home side recovered after the break to score through Matt Philips and a Leroy Fer cracker and leave Newcastle winless in ten games and in desperate trouble.

Im going for 0-2, which will be 6 wins on the bounce and will give us some more momentum going into a tough run of fixtures. Confidence inside the dressing room must be the highest its been for years atm, makes a nice change.

Are Radio Newcastle not doing a commentary?

Twitter updates from the chron or Lee Ryder which usually carry goal videos after a short wait... well that's how pre-season worked at times anyhows.

As for the result - 1-2 will do nicely with a late Mitrovic winner :)

Read on Twitter that apparently there used to be a website where Liverpool fans would try and guess Rafa's starting XI and would rarely be correct. Think we're in for the same thing every week <awe>.
