It looks like there will be a big battle for the signature of West Bromwich Albion's unsettled striker Saido Berahino on Deadline Day.

Sky Sources have told us that both Newcastle and Stoke City have made approaches for the player this weekend, and whilst initial talks have taken place, we understand West Brom have re-iterated their position that Berahino is not for sale.

I'm genuinely baffled by the amount of money we're suddenly hoying out whilst still not signing a left back. Does this mean Mitro and Perez are now youth prospects to bring in in two years time? Are Riviere and Dr Hong written off already? I know as Newcastle we will get injuries, but I can imagine we've a fair few unhappy players warming benches (or indeed not even making it as we need room for some teenage defenders...) in the coming weeks.
