I wouldn't recommend a holiday to Liverpool any time soon! Dominican Republic is worth a visit if you have the money for it.

We're working out what to do this summer and its a toss up between a beach holiday in Croatia near Split or doing a touring holiday into Budapest and flying back from Munich via travelling through Bratislava, Vienna, Salzburg and Zell am see.

Looking at doing a fortnight and want option two.

I liked Split/Hvar but I don't know if I'd want to stay there for 2 weeks.

Aye it takes the piss. I told a cab driver to f*** off for asking a New Year's Eve tip. I don't remember doing it, our lass told me next day. He was a knob about it tho, so sounds like it was deserved.

Went in Feb and it definitely lives up to the hype! Will certainly go back.

Didn't really think the tipping was too bad. Never took a cab anywhere, subway is good enough that you don't really have to, and lots of stuff is walking distance.

We walked most of the time, took cabs when we felt lazy. We were in Midtown tho so quite close to a few things.

Think I'm off to Montenegro in May.

Don't know a lot about what it has to offer but this fills me with confidence.

Seeing that the EU have dropped sanctions against Iran recently, Iran have announced they hope to get 20 million tourists per annum by 2025.

To put that proposed number into context; Thailand currently gets 20 million tourists a year.

Would you go to Iran where you can't drink and women are still deemed second class citizens?

Don't drink and not a woman, so yes.
