And Watford and West Ham. And we lost both of them <diva>.
So we've only had two bad results so far this season <roll>

Oh, and we'll beat Sunderland this year - you can go ahead and bookmark that.

Mitro missed a one on one (it came at him quickly tbf) and then Janmaat got called questionably offside when he would have had an easy square ball for Ayoze or Mitrovic to knock home (which he did and Mitrovic did, but flag was up early).

Oh, and Mbabu put a lovely ball through for Mitrovic that he just failed to make contact with. It could have been so different <urgh>

We should (at minimum) have been 2-0 up.

This team is arguably more fragile than it was under Pardew.

If something goes even slightly against the team, we just collapse. If we concede it doesn't push us on to fight. We just give up.

The whole squad needs a serious overhaul. Our team is starting to remind me of Sunderland. Signing new players but keeping the same core team which struggles season after season.

He's going to have to shell out another £50m just to keep us up at this rate.

We lack leadership from top to bottom, simple as that. Everyone who has worked with McClaren has highlighted his positivity even when things are going badly, but that isn't really what we need right now. We need someone to shove a rocket up their arses and light the fuse, and I just can't see McClaren having that ability for some reason. He comes across as neither upset or angry, but just mildly bewildered. Things may be different behind closed doors of course, but the mental fragility of the players does not scream 'strong manager'.

Coloccini isn't even worth wasting breath over. We need a Kevin Nolan, Shearer-esque captain, not someone who looks he couldn't lead a sex addict into a brothel.

Mitrovic is that kind of player. Just make him captain, he has the passion, the talent and the mental. Best player by far, the only who seems a bit concerned about the game! It's funny, a lot of our players are ex-captains : de Jong, Gini, Coloccini, Janmaat but we still have that lack of carracter in our team.

I can't wait for us to not be s*** anymore.

At least we're creating chances and scoring goals. As I said previously the international break has come at a good time, hopefully the team will see it as a fresh start with some winnable fixtures to look ahead to.

I think Coloccini needs to be left out for a game or two. He unfortunately doesn't seem to have the stomach for the fight anymore, and his constant rash decisions at the back is costing us.

I know it's wishful thinking but I hope McClaren gets a hold of Tiote and gets his him going, because we need him. We need that Tiote from a few years ago, because he was up there with best DM's in the league, if not the best. We need someone to help this fragile back four, win the ball and play it simple. I know he's been nowhere his best lately, and there's been some rumours about his influence around the club, but on his day he's far better than Anita or Colback.

We also need to fire a rocket up Sissoko. Move him to CM and give him a couple of games to get his s**t together, or he's on the bench. Tiote behind Sissoko, and Gini should be the midfield three heading into Norwich

We should just treat it as a 30 game season now. Need a good 11 wins to get ourselves even safe. The Norwich game is absolutely huge.

We should just ring the changes for the Norwich game. Everyone who deserves to be dropped should be dropped regardless of if other options are available or not. Even if it means starting 3 or 4 reserve players. McClaren needs to send a message to those spineless cronuts that they won't be tolerated.

This. 100% agree.

That's how the team should look like for the Norwich game :

------------Mitrovic---Perez----------------
Aarons-------------------------Obertan
----------------Gini---------Tioté-----------
Mbabu---Lascelles-Mbema-Janmaat
-------------------------Krul--------------------------

Mitro captain

Injured / unfit Obertan, Aarons and Tiote. Unproven CB next to rookie LB <erk>

I agree with the sentiment, but we don't have the squad.

In agreement with above, crying out for Mitro to be captain..take note what Shearer says, d******* we have in charge, will have us relegated -also at cost of our better players -if we drop,no quick fix of getting back.

We're bottom and winless after eight games with a squad who's confidence is ripped to shreds and have a habit to fold like a deckchair as soon as the going gets tough. Can you see this lot winning the 10 plus games we need to win to stay up?
