Playing wise Cabaye may have peaked with us. He was playmaker, provider and general star of the team. As for people thinking he was too good for us, that's very odd coming from home fans. We took the slight risk of him playing well in EPL ( not always a given) and it worked. However, slagging him off for staying at Newcastle just the thoughts of f***ed up minds.

It's a shame as his talent will be wasted over there.
His agents will be making a fortune no doubt.

It's not a shame at all. If anyone's career has been shaped by dodgy undisclosed fee deals it's Ba.

Ryan Taylor being linked with Bolton now after Standard Liege deal fell through.

Bet B4E is delighted to hear that. ;)

Clyne to the bin dippers for £12/14m - a rare case of good value for a young english player.

I still don't know why any case of moving to another league is treated as "wasted talent" <erm>
Maybe I'm just bitter that it's directed at any player moving to MLS

Agreed, but the MLS simply a 2/3 year pay day for players who cannot get same deals back home. simply putting £20m in their bank. Hardly shabby.

Great signing for them, hopefully will be more interesting at the top this season. Especially if Arsenal follow this up with Vidal as reported. Shame for Ospina though, when he came in he did pretty well, but will understandably struggle to get past someone as strong as Cech. Ospina is someone I wouldn't mind us looking at if we lose Krul.

Oh I agree the top few players make more in MLS than they would anywhere else - Giovinco is a prime example, as he's the highest paid Italian player in the world right now (and obviously isn't the best). But I think there are plenty of things to consider for a player when deciding where to play, and I think it's lazy when people automatically say that a player is wasting their talent because they're deciding not to play in England or the top couple leagues. Being a professional athlete isn't simply about playing the best players in the world week-in-, week-out.

I'd happily take Ospina if Krul went.

Man U bid around 27 Mil for Ramos and he wants to leave.

If Arsenal get Vidal, next season could be very very close.

Genuinely thought this link was rubbish and just to secure a new contract at Real. Not a bad price either at £28 mil.

Bit pricey considering that he's 29 with little to no re-sale value.

The only positive is that he's a defender, so Man Utd could possibly get another 4/5 solid years out of him. It really depends how well he holds up as he gets older.
