Your Player Ratings vs Leicester

Post by Al-Calo »

Rate the players, leave a comment and they'll be collated for use in the TFI match report and database. The more people that leave ratings the better it will be. It's important that you don't exaggerate player ratings, if you do it defeats the purpose of us collecting the data, so be as objective as possible. Clearly ridiculous ratings aren't included, so giving undeserved 1s or 10s won't skew ratings. Also, use the order I've posted, as it's a lot harder to collect the data otherwise.

Don't just submit blanket ratings like "1 for everyone", the point of this is to rate individual performances.

Rate in multiples of 0.5 up to a maximum of 10 (7, 7.5, 8, etc). Anything else is rounded to the nearest .5 anyway.

Use this order. Please.

Krul -

Janmaat -
Taylor -
Coloccini -
Dummett -

Colback -
Anita -

Obertan -
Sissoko -
Gouffran -

Cissé -

Pérez -
Haïdara -
Cabella - N/A

Pardew -

Use the order above.

For consistency, please try to rate players roughly along the lines of this scale. 1s and 10s should be extremely rare and only for performances that could be considered among the best/worst of all time or the absolute best/worst that could be done.
10 - A godlike performance, such as getting a hat-trick of goals/assists or being utterly dominant at the back. This should be a rarity.
9 - Outstanding performance.
8 - Very good performance.
7 - Good performance.
6 - High average.
5.5 - Average average. Use this as the baseline.
5 - Low average.
4 - Poor, perhaps with the occasional bright moment.
3 - Very bad, several mistakes with little to no redemption.
2 - Horrendous, almost as bad as it is possible to perform.
1 - Among the worst performances of all time. This should be extremely rare.

Krul - 6 - Good claiming for crosses, some dodgy kicking first half

Janmaat - 6
Taylor - 6.5
Coloccini - 6 - Should have scored
Dummett - 6

Colback - 6
Anita - 5 - Anon

Obertan - 8 - Great goal, comfy MotM
Sissoko - 6
Gouffran - 4 - Does nothing

Cissé - 4 - Decent build up play, should have scored twice

Pérez - 6.5 - Very bright, should start next game
Haïdara - 5 - Thought Dummett was better
Cabella - N/A

Pardew - 4 - Would have liked to see 2 up top to start, don't know how Gouff keeps getting games. 1/3 subs were good (Perez sub). Haidara and Cabella sub unnecessary

Krul - 6. Blocked a couple of good shots but his distribution is awful. Makes it look like the pitch is on a slope.

Janmaat - 5. Decent, didn't mess up.
Taylor - 6. Definitely prefer him to Williamson, he can at least run and shout a bit.
Coloccini - 5.5. Decent, didn't concede.
Dummett - 4. Quite poor aside from one nice clearance.

Colback - 5. Pardew's favourite English workhorse.
Anita - 5. Pretty anonymous.

Obertan - 8. Easy man of the match, full of pace, great passing, even a bit of flair. Showboatan <awe>
Sissoko - 5. Runs, runs, runs, loses ball, runs, runs, runs.
Gouffran - 3.5. Did literally nothing except lose the ball.

Cissé - 4.5. Snatched at some chances and missed two total sitters.

Pérez - 6.5. Looks a little lightweight but he should definitely be given a start.
Haïdara - 5.5. Improvement on Dummett.
Cabella - N/A

Pardew - 4. Dunno why he keeps playing Gouffran, Colback and Sissoko no matter what they do. We have established for the past two years that one up top doesn't work for us and yet we persist with it. Pointless left back substitution. Even more pointless bringing Cabella on. Hoying Ferreyra on the bench with no intention of playing him when we had no centre-backs on the bench at all. Basically a bog-standard Pardew performance and he's kept his job for at least 10 more games with this win. I will praise him in that he did seem to set the team up really well for counter-attacking though.

Krul - 6. Some good saves but he has some of the worst distribution I've ever saw from a Premier League GK.

Janmaat - 5.5. Solid enough.
Taylor - 7. Thought he had a good game today, some good blocks and tackles.
Coloccini - 6. Solid, although he should have scored.
Dummett - 6. Did ok, not sure why he was subbed to be honest.

Colback - 6. He's ok when he keeps the ball on the floor, but he tries to ping Hollywood passes around the place and more often that not they sail out of play.
Anita - 5. Pretty anonymous but can't remember him doing anything glaringly wrong.

Obertan - 7. Looked dangerous but he does try to overcomplicate everything. If he just beat his man and crossed it he would be a decent player. That said, great finish for the goal.
Sissoko - 5.5. Runs around a lot. That's it.
Gouffran - 4. This bloke is currently stealing a living. He does nothing every single game and somehow gets away with it.

Cissé - 4. Missed two sitters, done nothing else besides that.

Pérez - 5. Looked extremely lightweight and his inexperienced showed at times.
Haïdara - 5. Got caught out twice in only 15 minutes. Not a particularly impressive cameo.
Cabella - N/A

Pardew - 3. Team selection was sadly predictable. Tactics were sadly predictable. Saved by a good finish by Obertan, but that isn't so much papering over the cracks as it is attempting to cover the Grand Canyon with a napkin. He needs to drop Gouffran, and if he insists on playing one up top he needs to stop applying tactics that are more suited to 2 strikers. He survives another week, but this is where the s*** hits the fan in regards to fixtures.

Krul - 6

Janmaat - 6
Taylor - 6
Coloccini - 6
Dummett - 6

Colback - 5
Anita - 3 (Don't know why he is getting a 5 off everyone, he achieved the sum total of sweet FA today and was caught in possession in dangerous areas on at least a couple of occasions.)

Obertan - 7
Sissoko - 6
Gouffran - 5

Cissé - 5

Pérez - 5
Haïdara - 6
Cabella - N/A

Pardew - 5. So so drab the first 60 minutes but at least needs some credit for finally realising we are better with 2 up front.

Krul - 6. Commanded his area well but his kicking was dodgy at times.

Janmaat - 6. Solidish.
Taylor - 6. See Janmaat.
Coloccini - 6. See Saylor.
Dummett - 6. See Colo.

Colback - 3. A liability at times.
Anita - 5. Not as good as normal, better than Colback though.

Obertan - 8. Won the game with a moment of magic.
Sissoko - 6. He was fairly decent.
Gouffran - 3. Useless. Didn't contribute anything.

Cissé - 3. Embarrassing misses, especially the open goal. Has to be scoring 2 with the chances he had today.

Pérez - 7. Looked great when he came on. Has to start, probably our best player bar Obertan.
Haïdara - 5. Wasn't as good as Dummett.
Cabella - N/A

Pardew - 2. cronut. Got lucky with a bit of magic from the player he tried to get rid of. Needs to be playing 2 up top. We were so much better when Perez came on so I've gave him an extra point for making that sub, he should have started though. We were awful for the most part and it was just a case of Obertan winning it out of nothing and Leicester being awful. Pardew Out.

Krul 6

Janmaat 5.5- Improved on recent poor performances.
Taylor 6.5-Improvement on Williamson, one very good block at 1-0.
Coloccini 6
Dummett 6

Colback 7.5- Tidy job, for me best player on the park just doing simples and breaking things up.
Anita 4- Was he there?

Obertan 7- Very impressive, in good form right now.
Sissoko 5
Gouffran 4- Never been the same player since we sold Cabaye. Needs to be dropped for Riviere

Cisse 5- Not his day

Perez 6
Haidara 5.5
Cabella N/A

Pardew 5- A win's a win. Scrappy ugly yes, but thanks Obertan.

It was hardly a great performance. We were set up wrong again with just one up front and we luckily scraped a win through a moment of magic from Obertan. Thankfully Leicester were awful otherwise any half decent side would have beat us.

Krul - 7 - Kept us in it at the end

Janmaat - 6 - Had very little to do defensively
Taylor - 7 - Solid
Coloccini - 7 - Solid
Dummett - 7 - The most solid defensively I've seen him. Some of his passes though (and this happens every game) are ludicrously s****.

Colback - 4 - Poor again. He looks like he's lacking in confidence. I dislike him immensely for some reason (it could be cause he's ginger).
Anita - 4 - He needs to start positively influencing games. Yes I get that he's decent at finding space and laying off simple balls but it isn't near enough.

Obertan - 8 - Beasted it. Our player of the season so far.
Sissoko - 5 - Worked hard, little of what he did let to anything good though.
Gouffran - 2 - Shocking as per.

Cissé - 1 - Just as I thought he'd turned a corner he's back to missing absolute sitters again. Should easily have scored twice today. Anyone who misses a f***ing open net and heads straight into the ground from 4 yards out deserves a 1. s****.

Pérez - 7 - Tricky. He looks like he could be a real handful and a good player for us if he doesn't get Pardewed.
Haïdara - 5 - Didn't have a lot to do.
Cabella - N/A

Pardew - 4 - Scraped a win against a promoted side by one moment of individual brilliance. It goes without saying though that this changes absolutely nothing and he's a s*** manager who needs sacked ASAP.
I dunno

Gouffran wasn't as bad as normal. He made so many good tackles going back, and although that may not be his job and he should offer more offensively, he did prevent Leicester a lot. I think Cabella should be starting there, but it wasn't Gouffran's worst performance of late, i'd give him a 5/6.

Krul - 6 - One great save, little to do apart from that and coming for the odd cross. Poor distribution.

Janmaat - 7 - One of his better games for us but rarely tested.
Taylor - 7 - Some great blocks and did really well in the air against Ulloa. Made a big difference.
Coloccini - 5 - Missed a sitter and poor defensively, every time there was a tight offside call he was the one playing their man on, some rash tackles too, with each game it seems more and more stupid to let MYM go when Colo is clearly way past his best.
Dummett - 7 - Probably our best defender, I was surprised to see him taken off.

Colback - 5 - Poor overall, pretty much useless in the first half but carried the fight to them a little more in the second.
Anita - 4 - Not good enough, I don't know if getting dropped has knocked his confidence but his passing was wayward and he was getting bullied in the centre. Cambiasso couldn't believe his luck coming up against these two. We really need to sign a CM in Jan, we are really short on options there.

Obertan - 7 - Some classic Obertan moments but made the difference, won us the game and looks like a different player when his tail is up.
Sissoko - 2 - Rubbish, needs to be dropped.
Gouffran - 2 - Rubbish, needs to be dropped

Cissé - 4 - Some good runs and positive play but missed two sitters that would have made it comfortable, I know we all love the guy but the difference between Cisse and the likes of Bony and Pelle is ridiculous when it comes to taking simple chances. Not clinical enough.

Pérez - 6 - Looked way off it when he came on and appeared really lightweight but grew into it more and started to influence play, made a big difference having two up top.
Haïdara - 6 - I was surprised when he came on but his extra pace really helped us in defence. Pardew got something right….
Cabella - 4 - I don't want to have a go at him too much but trying fancy tricks and killer through balls when you're defending a lead with seconds to go is not clever, especially when you basically pass the ball directly to the opposition.

Pardew - 3 - We won, that is a big positive, but the blind selection of Sissoko and Gouffran is really starting to get on my t***. We should be winning these games more easily, we have had three piss easy home games, conceded 5 and only won one, which we scraped. He needs to try two up front, having Perez on made a massive difference. Knowing him he will feel vindicated in sticking with the same s**** tactics and unimaginative team selection and we'll have more of the same at Spurs and a pasting will be coming our way. He still HAS to go, a scrappy 1-0 win at home to a promoted side after 9 games without a win is not good enough, especially after spending all that money in the summer. This win is not going to placate the fans, I would be amazed if we add to our points tally before the QPR game.

The problem with Gouffran is he stops once he thinks he's done enough. I remember making a really good challenge in their half and passing to Sissoko, but instead of taking a defender away with a run down the wing he just walked forwards and Sissoko probably lost the ball
