Absolutely cracking race. Anyone whining about engine noise can go and take a running jump! Who cares!

Such a good race!
Hamilton
Everyone always seems to dislike him but he will always be my favourite I think!

Yeah, I've been a Hamilton fan from day one.
He's a winner and gets pissed off when things don't go his way as all true winners do. But he is a 100% thoroughbred racer.

Re: The F1 Thread
I like Hamilton as well, although I can see why a lot of people don't.
What a race that was though

Me, motoGP is the same, they sound s*** as well. I don't know what Bernie's going to do but if he gets a whiff that people are switching off he'll do something.Bodacious Benny wrote:Absolutely cracking race. Anyone whining about engine noise can go and take a running jump! Who cares!

Personally, I don't watch any form of Motorsport for the noise of an engine.DarrasHallStalker wrote:Me, motoGP is the same, they sound s*** as well. And the sooner Bernie f***s off the better.

Re: The F1 Thread
F1 without the noise is like football without the crowd. Dull.
It also strikes me as odd that everyone is having a w*** over 'a great race' when it was nothing of the sort. Switch Mercedes for Red Bull and another yawnfest is on the cards only this time the plucky Brit is in with a shout. Pip pip.

Mercs being allowed to fight for first and second place (something that Red Bull rarely allowed). Some superb racing at the front from nico and Lewis.
The Force Indias, Williams and the Red Bull of Ricciardio fighting behind. Lot of wheel to wheel action.
Hardly a yawn fest.

Re: The F1 Thread
It's a race for 3rd place = boring championship, Red Bull or Merc...Merc will get away with it due to there being a British driver in the team.
The racing for 3rd was good though.

Re: The F1 Thread
If I recall 2013 correctly it was s*** because Webber was no match for vettel. Hamilton/Rosberg seem more even thus its more exciting. The first two races were dull because one ran a way with it. Christ, it must be tiring looking for things to nit pick
Re: The F1 Thread
It was only exciting when the safety car left and Rosberg and Hamilton were going at it. Other than that it was fairly standard.

Re: The F1 Thread
Even when Hamilton was way out in front prior to the safety car (which was down to good tactics btw) the rest of the field were swapping places all the time. It was a bloody brilliant race
Re: The F1 Thread
Just when the race was getting boring though, credit to Maldonado for making things interesting again

Re: The F1 Thread
I saw a lot of wheel to wheel racing throughout the grid and through most of the race. The Williams were at each other, the Force India's were battling it out amongst each other and Williams. In the middle of that battling mix was a Ferrari traveling undercover as a mobile chicane with Button the lone McLaren fighting off a charging Vettel who wasn't able to fight his own charging team mate and this went on for lap after lap after lap.
So far I haven't even mentioned the front two battling it out, wheel to wheel for sections during the race and then after the safety car the two of them really went for it. Rosberg had the car in the best condition but Hamilton was too tenacious to give up the lead.
It was a race. A real race at possibly the dullest track in F1 but the teams and drivers finally went for it because the majority of the field are equal in terms of car performance.
Long may that carry on.
