Isn't he a left back, good move for them bearing in mind they don't have one.Ryan wrote:Twitter Rumour - Sunderland close to signing Stephen Ward from Wolves.

I also didn't realise (until ZM tweeted) that they had sold Michael Turner to Sunderland. He was their most used CB last season too, apparently.

Seen a fair bit of him as I live in Wolverhampton. He's a donkey. But he is surrounded by other donkeys which doesn't help. He's probably an alright Championship defender at best.cbrad wrote:Really, not seen him play always though he was average. Why aye Cabaye wrote:

Sad when you see young kids like Jules Ntcham continue to sign with City when they continue to demonstrate they have no interest in bringing their youth through - even if they are pumping huge funds into their youth and training facilities. Ask John Guidetti how it goes.

Did score a winner at Anfield, something Newcastle haven't done for a long time.

Liverpool apparently leading the chase for Sahin. That means they would have the following centre mids:
Gerrard, Sahin, Adam, Allen, Spearing, Lucas, Shelvey & Henderson.
I think some of them will be a little unhappy with playing time!

If they play 4-3-3 (not sure how that would work with Carroll, Suarez and Borini though) then it will be fine. Gerrard spends most the season on the treatment table, and Spearing and Shelvey are still quite young who could go out on loan if needed.aginairrr wrote:Liverpool apparently leading the chase for Sahin. Wolves issue statement confirming rejection of latest Fletcher bid from Sunderland. Moxey:"All parties need to draw a line under this matter which has now dragged on for over a month. We need to focus on season ahead and these disruptions to preparations are unhelpful. We've always said we want to keep our best players. If valuations aren't met then they'll remain at Wolves but we cannot allow this speculation to drag on up to the closure of the transfer window.”
