Queens Park Mercanaries
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
To be fair he's played under Mark Hughes before.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
To be honest, although they might be overpaying for it, I reckon QPR should be pretty decent next year.
Also, http://www.nufcfans.co.uk/newcastle-kee ... n-hotshot/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I can vouch for Sanmi Odelusi being a decent striker in Serie B on FM. But no more...

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Hadn't heard anything out of Monchengladbach about him ever since they became frontrunners and then signed De Jong. As for him going to Spurs, I don't see where he starts? He's not a CF and they already have Bale, Lennon, VDV and Gylfi. Who knows whether we even made a real pitch to sign him? I don't like QPR, I think they're generally just buying whoever they can, with a big focus on overthehill players who want one last good wage - but it does look like they might be a bit better next season.
Definitely though too many players now perceive ownership ambition to be "willing to pay big wages" - which if you're paying for planks like Andy Johnson, proves you don't have sufficient ambition.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
He was at the club when Hughes was there but they were unable to obtain a work permit for him until 2009, which meant he spent the 2007/08 season on loan, at the end of which Hughes left the club.ALF wrote:To be fair he's played under Mark Hughes before.
So it's possible he remembers Hughes from his time at the club... it's just unlikely. The alternative was playing for Gladbach. He's played in the Bundesliga before, they finished 4th last year, don't know if that gives them European football or not but surely that must be a better option

He's probably settled in England now though. QPR were possibly the only Premiership team showing serious interest in him.tomtom94 wrote:He was at the club when Hughes was there but they were unable to obtain a work permit for him until 2009, which meant he spent the 2007/08 season on loan, at the end of which Hughes left the club.ALF wrote:To be fair he's played under Mark Hughes before.

Or the only club who were stupid enough to pay his high wage demands?ALF wrote:He's probably settled in England now though. That all day long,he's went for the wages and they were stupid enough to give him what he wanted simple as that.No ambition whatsoever on his behalf as far as I'm concerned.Lewis Hamilton The F1 Legend wrote:

something along the lines of: "Hughes sold him with his vision for the club, its an exciting project"
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Supposedly we're interested in Ashley Williams from Swansea. Sky reporting this, nufcfans chatting about it on twitter.

Na, not for me. Don't see a lot in Williams. Not that good.

Feyenoord and Aston Villa reach agreement over the transfer of Ron Vlaar, for around €4M, will sign a three-year contract. [feyenoord.nl]
Not been impressed by Vlaar when I've seen him. Just looks like a big lump.
