And so it's getting to that time of year where transfer rumours and supposed targets for January start to circulate. Lets all get our hopes up only to find that we couldn't get anyone over the line, wouldn't pay the transfer fee, wouldn't pay the signing on fee, wouldn't pay the agent fees or wouldn't pay upfront

Links to Solanke and Origi from Liverpool. We're already at our maximum quota for loan players, so any transfer has to be permanent (another reason why nothing will happen). I'd prefer Solanke as I think he's got real potential, however he'd probably cost a fair bit and be on decent wages. Can't see either happening. Although Ashley may offer Rafa the option to sell Lascelles for £35m and he'll generously give him £15m or so to spend out of that.

Seems like this will be another winter in which they actually make a few desperate signings to try and fend off relegation, only to still have key gaps and no chemistry. With a prompt sell-off of them come summer when they have better offers at other clubs.

Yeah it's two domestic, and I think four overall. So could potentially sign someone from overseas on a loan (to buy ).

I worry we might be doomed allready by january... Worry is such a strong word these days though, since my care for the club has fallen drastically the last year and a half. Maybe the word think has better purpose. Sad isn't it...
