Siem De Jong possibly out until after Christmas

Been doing the rounds on twitter tonight. Apparently he's torn his groin and is expected to be out for around 4 month.
Now confirmed by a Journo:

Brilliant management from Pardew, playing an unfit De Jong allowing him to aggravate his injury then shipping out another attacking midfielder, Ben Arfa, who we could do with more than ever now we are light in that department. What a cronut Pardew is.

Now all we need is for a CB to inevitably get an injury

I think we might have been sold a dud. It seems too cheap to get a Champions League standard player and the Ajax captain at that for a little as £6m. Giving he barley played because of injury last season (16 games I think) and he missed the world cup through injury perhaps he's going to be another Michael Owen type player for us in that he's injury prone.

Shouldn't really have played against Gillingham, let alone Palace...
Looking forward to going through the Palace line-ups thread and seeing how many of us had him in our team though

Becoming clear now why he was a tad cheap.

Top class work Alan. Maybe when you're managing you shouldn't let your stubborn personal crusades get in the way of f***ing basic logic you stupid prick. Or maybe you should just f*** off.
You incompetent cronut.

Maybe this is how Sissoko gets his 10 goals?

They must use f***ing medicine balls in training matches. How the f*** do we get so many key injuries?

After 9 transfers and 7 for the first team, now pardew will use this as excuse... just watch. The science is against our tactical genius again.

He's not injury prone, he had a bad injury last year but he has a decent appearance record prior to that. If it was clear he was injured then it was crazy to play him against Palace and even more so agains Gillingham, risking him is barmy when you consider that our other attacking option are either too young, ineffective or sold.

It's not directly his fault, but he will use it as an excuse for every defeat until De Jong returns.

Didn't Pardew actually say that he was playing De Jong when he wasn't fully fit? In that case, it is Pardews fault.

He was injured in training. It really is amazing the leap we're prepared to make to blame Pardew for everything, though I'd accept it if we did lose a centre back.
I wonder if we'll move Gouffran or Cabella inside and start Aarons? Could be fun.
