Loanees
Loanees
So to my knowledge we have Abeid and Good currently out on loan (I assume the loan window's open since Abeid moved last week), but why have we got promising youth such as Campbell, Ferguson and Bigi sitting about and wasting their formative years, surely we should be offering them to clubs non-stop to get them a decent amount of game time under their belts to help them progress. Perhaps with a good run of regular starts, they might actually have a chance at getting some game time next year, and not have another season of crappy cameos from them.
*The same applies to Sammy, but without the 'promising' bit.

I think Ferguson is meant to be going out on loan, it's just that the loan window hasn't opened yet

We need Bigi, he has a role to play in the first team and might even start europa games.

but how did we move Abeid?
Re: Loanees
I don't think we would have started him in the later stages anyway, but now we've got players back from injury and Sissoko in, i don't think he'll see game timeObertans Magic Head wrote:We need Bigi, he has a role to play in the first team and might even start europa games.

Re: Loanees
As far as I know there is a gap between the transfer window and loan window. Abeid moved in the transfer, but Ferguson couldn't get one sorted in that time, so he's waiting for the loan windowBeatski wrote:Wedge Head Tiote wrote:I think Ferguson is meant to be going out on loan, it's just that the loan window hasn't opened yet

Re: Loanees
Dummett and Conor Newton are up at St Mirren gaining valuable experience and like Curtis Good have a cup final to look forward to. I am definitely an advocate of fringe players going out and getting some game time.

Re: Loanees
Nah, the loan window is open. Kaspar Gorkks moved from Reading to Wolves on loan yesterday, so I think it is open.
Re: Loanees
The transfer window IS the loan window.
You seem to be confusing the 'emergency loan window' with it.

I'm sure there was an article from an Irish paper talking about Ferguson waiting for it to open before he movesSwarley wrote:Nah, the loan window is open. Kaspar Gorkks moved from Reading to Wolves on loan yesterday, so I think it is open.
Maybe it was longer ago than I thought

Re: Loanees
loans are still open for championship teams downwards i think.
also with regards to our youth players going out, you have to have a team that wants them, just because we think they could do a job elsewhere doesn't mean its easy to get them out, got to remember other clubs are fighting in leagues they need the right players just like any other team.

Re: Loanees
Sammy pulled a hammy so he won't go out on loan.
Re: Loanees
Would like Fergie & Sammy to go out on loan. Maybe Clarkie could take them to Brum for a spell.
And in conclusion, how far had you got through reading this before you realised it was my signature?

I think Campbell should have gone on loan this season, maybe to a league 1 side.
