With the exception of the Italian one, this. The American national anthem fits with 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' for half the time.Cal wrote:National anthems. They're s***.
I watched the Chelsea away game in a pub in Durham last season and when Hazard scored, a lass with a thick Mackem accent screeched "GEEEEERRRRRIIINNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!! Who's he?"SHuds25 wrote:Seen lasses on facebook who just support "their team" on derby days.. i.e vile mackem C*NTS, they havent a f*ckin clue who plays for "their team", thick f*cks!
If it's a boy scout let them pack your bags and when it comes to paying tell them you don't advocate child labour but doing a good turn is fine.Bodacious Benny wrote:Charity workers at supermarkets who 'offer' to pack your shopping and you give them some money.

Also, um... maybe don't watch the Derby on Saturday![]()
I know the train ticket thing really pales into insignificance compared with the other parts of your day but if you & your bro are quite wanting the fine back the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago (£20 fine for 5 seconds in 1st class) and I wrote a letter which I have on file and got £18.50 of it back. It would be a pleasure to PM it to you...I'm quite proud of it.

I'm going to miss a Monday 9am lecture thanks to the strikeCal wrote:University and College Union strikes. There have been at least 3 this year and I'm losing lectures that I've paid for because of them. And the lecturer who sends out emails to let us know is a c*** and opens with "as you will be aware, the Univeristy [sic] & College Union, Unison and Unite have called a strike..." every single time.
I work (non-academic thank f***) for a Uni but I'll be in work on Thursday. I don't see what the Unions hope to achieve. The pay offer is done and dusted as far as the Uni is concerned. 1% is s*** due to rises in the cost of living, but at a time where the council near me announced 1000 job losses I think I've got it okay personally.Cal wrote:University and College Union strikes.
