Yeah, admittedly it's only google translate which is never 100% accurate.
Seems strange that he would put "PSV does not accept Newcastle, which did not accept today" though.

Re: The Georginio Wijnaldum Thread
I still can't see us getting him. Everton showing interest too, he'll probably end up there.

Re: The Georginio Wijnaldum Thread
"PSV have not yet accepted Newcastle's bid, they have not responded today" is closer to what he said I'm guessing. The bid was reported late in the day - maybe after close of business in Holland.dls wrote:Yeah, admittedly it's only google translate which is never 100% accurate.

That's a more positive way of looking at it and it does make sense.
Knowing this club I would not at all be surprised if they didn't accept it so we didn't respond though

f*** it, best just to forget all about it until it's either happened or he's gone somewhere else.

Not sure, Mark Douglas is fairly reliable on transfer front and he has spoken about big developments over next two days with us being confident of breakthroughs (plural)Speedo wrote:http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... ky-sources

Speedo wrote:I'm imagining the front four to be De Jong, Cabella and Wijnaldum, behind a single striker. They would switch positions all the time, which is very difficult to mark, and allows them a lot more creative freedom. So long as they understand how to react when we lose the ball (that is, in whatever order they are arranged in, they have a defensive responsibility for that 'position'), this would be extremely hard to play against I think.
Also I use 3 CAMs on FM and it works a treat so it'll definitely work here
Sissoko Colback
Wijnaldum De Jong Cabella
Mitrovic
I imagine that with De Jong dropping back, Wijnaldum drifting into the centre with sissoko to the right wing, could be a pretty flexible combination giving us more options.Wijnaldum De Jong Cabella

In form Tiote is thrice the player Colback has been.
Re: The Georginio Wijnaldum Thread
Tiote hasn't been in form for about three years though.Pretty Terrible Attacking Options wrote:In form Tiote is thrice the player Colback has been.

Not sustained, no. But that wasn't the point. Speedo was saying a revitalised Tiote, not poor Tiote.TJR wrote:Tiote hasn't been in form for about three years though.Pretty Terrible Attacking Options wrote:In form Tiote is thrice the player Colback has been.
Re: The Georginio Wijnaldum Thread
Yeah but I don't think we are going go see a revitalised Tiote. He's been poor for a couple of seasons at least now and this long term injury that has seen him missing since ACON won't have helped either. He seems to be declining as a player.Pretty Terrible Attacking Options wrote:Not sustained, no. But that wasn't the point. Speedo was saying a revitalised Tiote, not poor Tiote.TJR wrote:

My hope is that under a new manager who knows how to get the best out of him he'll get back to his best. He's only 29, there's no reason he should be any worse than he was 3 years ago.

I'm fairly confident that Steve will get the best of Chieck, and help him rediscover the player he was that attracted the club to him in the first place and also replicate his form when he first came here.
EDIT: Apologies, this is what you've said pretty much. I misread your comment - need my glasses
