What kind of lifestyle must he have lived up until this point that he's just learnt how to cook baked beans?

To be fair, one time i went over to my mates house, walked into the kitchen and saw he was "cooking" a can of beans in the microwave, literally beans still in the can twirling around and sparking all over the microwave. When I questioned him about what the f*** he was doing, his reply was... thats how I always make them. Another lad I lived with at uni insisted that stainless steel was a safe metal to use in a microwave.

Dele did say he used the microwave, but I cannot confirm whether the beans were still in the can.

One of my old flatmates bought Colman's mustard as he thought it was a spread he could use on toast. I was watching him prepare it but thought it best he learned the hard way. He put loads of it on. It was a sort of "WHY THE f*** WOULD SOMEONE EAT THIS?!" moment, then I explained how you're meant to use it.

You'd be surprised, a lot of modern day footballers have everything done for them. I once had to show a player how to make a cup of tea as he didn't know how.. (he may have been taking the piss but at least he knows not to put the milk in first now)

To answer the is it really cooking question.
I wouldn't say so. Baked beans are already cooked hence the baked. Even if you do them in a pan your still just reheating them. You can eat them cold if you want

Weirdly I couldn't make a cup of tea until my mid 20s, grew up in a house of coffee drinkers and didn't really drink hot drinks at the time. Offered to do a tea run one day at work and basically made a cup of warm milk with a tea bag in.

They've spent over £450m in 5 years. They have one of the most expensive first XI's in the world and now they have another £40m bench player. They might not have wasted money quite as spectacularly as Chelsea did on Drinkwater but to moan about spending of other clubs whilst you've got a line up that cost £400m is ridiculous.

I can't stomach any of the so called top clubs moaning about the other teams spending money when they do the same. Liverpool can argue that they haven't spent "in the same way" but plenty of money has gone into transfer fees, no matter how you'd look at it.

Never mind transfer fees, they don't mean too much in the grand scheme of things, all clubs can afford a one time expense. I bet they've spent just as much in wages as City etc. All their first team will be on over 100k a week, easy.

Wages are a more important measure of a clubs spending than transfer fees. Liverpool's first 11 will be on 100k a week easy each. They've spent a fortune, a few hundred mill less than City on transfers means nowt in the grand scheme of things.
