Been trying to rationalise this terrible line up. Closest I can get is; ultra-defensive because Bruce knows they need the 3 points so much, he hopes they will get desperate as the game goes on and leave themselves exposed at the back. Left some of the faster players on the bench (Almiron and Murphy) so that he can bring them on fresh to exploit the counter attack in the later stages when the desperation kicks in.

Murphy's played full back, he'd be perfectly fine as a wing back. Or play Dummett left in a back four, his best position. Anything but this s***.
