Wimbledon

Time to see Murray's wifes weird scrunched up little face for three weeks. <urgh>

Predictions?

Think Murray will win it. He is in good form and grass is his best surface, plus home advantage.

Anyone but Murray and I'm reasonably happy.

I'd take Murray over Djokovic or Fed.

Come on Nadal though <awe>.

Honestly can't choose between Murray, Djokovic and Wawrinka. I think Murray's the best grass-courter in the world, and he's in great form, but his record against Djokovic is so bad this year. Wawrinka's consistently going deep in majors these days, and I think his best is better than anyone else's. And Djokovic is obviously the best in the world right now. My heart says Murray, and my head kind of does too, but I can't help but think it's just not going to happen.

Only six Brits in the field total, time to move the weakest grand slam of the four somewhere else perhaps?

Spain or Germany perhaps? Could use another showcase clay event, who the f*** plays on grass. <worried>

Anyway I'm just waiting for Tsonga and Monfils to show glimpses of potential glory just to let me down again.

And hey, why not? Simon and Gasquet are seeded as well. 8)

In all honesty though I love the first few rounds almost a bit more than the latter stages.

I'm a sucker for a good made it from nothing story where some 16 year old kid qualified or some 32 year old slugger who never quite made it qualifies for his first major after years of effort.

Or some fella from Bhutan who is the first qualifier ever from his nation.

And especially, I also love to see the good old names, Hewitt, Baghdatis, etc... <awe>

Youth and nostalgia. Basically if you're really good and popular i'm not interested. <fist>

<laugh> Nice try, it's not as if all the same players play all the grand slams.

That was a worrying second set from Murray.

Hopefully plays better in the third and is off to rest soon.

Bouchard almost penalized for wearing a black sports bra underneath her white sports bra that was underneath her white shirt. <worried>

Can Wimbledon join the 21st century please? Or better yet, just give the fourth grand slam to a deserving nation, like Spain.

Tennis isn't really my sport but even I know that Wimbledon is the oldest of the four grand slams and therefore (if any) has claim to being the 1st grand slam. I believe Australia is the newest and therefore the 4th grand slam.

So you are suggesting that Australia change to Spain right?

Oh yeah and well done Heather <diva>

Don't fancy her chances against Serena Williams though.

Clay is outdated and has no place in the modern game, I think he was suggesting the French Open goes to Spain.

Kind of deserved, she knows the rules. It's not like it's a rule they brought in recently, it's also for men and women not just the women.
