skip to 12.45, I have no idea who stewart robson is but what hes saying 4 years ago is spot on touchline antics, ego, claiming to play attacking football,he hates him more then I do
Table essentially shows nothing has changed at all with Pardew over the last two seasons, potentially even three seasons. Despite us actually being top 10, his whole management style is relying on one or two players to carry us through the overwhelming negativity that Pardew's football is.
Looking back on 11/12, Pardew still relied massivly on number of players. Our style was still pretty hoofball and direct, but just the fact that players stayed fit, a perfect storm of form, confidence, Cisse hitting everything in, and teams around us in meltdown allowed us to finish as high as we did. Then the bubble bursts and it's back to normal.
Players injured/out of the team last year = we're s***.
Cabaye sold = we're s***.
Players leave club this summer + no investment = Championship.

Take a punt on someone either:
a) Foreign, a la Pochettino. Unfortunately my knowledge of the European game isn't good enough to suggest someone but I'm sure there will be.
b) Someone young and up-and-coming. Eddie Howe wouldn't be a bad appointment, he's done wonders at Bournemouth and they play lovely football.

Eddie Howe is a great shout, also Karl Robinson plays decent football with MK Dons. He is seen as one of the best up and coming coaches in England, in the Brendan Rodgers mould.
There is a lot of buzz about Thomas Tuchel at Mainz and apparently Rafa wants to come back to England.

they've been discussed over and over
why don't we get someone like Phil Brown in
...and to think quite a lot of people thought Martinez wouldn't be good enough for us last year as he 'only' kept Wigan in the PL for donkeys years and never progressed them
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Yeah he has certainly proven me wrong this season. I always hated how much they sucked him off for being really average with Wigan. Turns out he's pretty decent. I think Man Utd being s**** has helped a bit though. They're a position higher than they ordinarily would have been.
