Thought Shelvey was the only one that deserved pass marks. Only one who looked interested and tried to make things happen.

Maybe Perez too for scoring and Elliot.

Shelvey has a mind set and a determination lacking in too many others around him.

For way too long Newcastle have lacked a shape and steel about them. There's a screaming need to stiffen the spine of the team and build around that. So what we got, well, let me see, we have a keeper and a central mid..........................along with a talented striker , who we attempt to starve for 90 minutes a couple of times a week.

All those millions spunked and we have a couple of regular first starters. The mind feckin boggles.
