I wish that was true as it would probably mean the end of Ashley. The Angry Badger. wrote:25 Mill is a f***ing joke as well, financially we must be f***ed if we go down

Can only think of two in recent years..CheickyTiote wrote:Tomorrow could potentially be our most exciting deadline day in years!
The obvious one, then the failed helicopter attempt for Bryan Ruiz

Chronicle reporting bid of £21.2m, that 0.2m could make all the difference!

I'm worried it will mean the end of Newcastle as we know itJuliet Papa Golf wrote:I wish that was true as it would probably mean the end of Ashley. The Angry Badger. wrote:25 Mill is a f***ing joke as well, financially we must be f***ed if we go down

Re: The Saido Berahino Deadline Thread
WBA rejected the offer and he's not for sale
This is mental! Can't blame them considering he's their only good goalscorer and us getting him could potentially get them in a relegation scrap themselves if he bangs them in for us.
It's not about money... It's about sending a message.

Surely someone will have to pay, as you cannot spend £70+mil on players and get relegated. The Angry Badger. wrote:I'm worried it will mean the end of Newcastle as we know itJuliet Papa Golf wrote:

Absolutely no chance.Hope the gamble pays off, signings will have to gel quickly, you want to trickle players into the squad not just chuck money at the problem and completely change the squad.

Re: The Saido Berahino Deadline Thread
I'll love it if the bloke came to Newcastle, but sadly can't see how we cam get him over the li... door. We show the power of the new TV deal, so even if WBA can took for Berahino in the summer 15 mill tops, they can afford it to lose 7-8 mill. Especially, when they refuse to sold him to another team in the relegation fight.
Re: The Saido Berahino Deadline Thread
Be interesting to see if we go back in with another bid. They aren't going to get anymore than 25m for him, his price will only go down as well with only 18months left on his deal. I'd understand it a bit more if they were playing him regularly but they're not!Le Quiff wrote:WBA rejected the offer and he's not for saleThis is mental! So strikers for next season could potentially be Mitrovic, Berahino, Doumbia, Perez Armstrong.

I bet Spurs go in with a bid of £25mil and it gets accepted
Re: The Saido Berahino Deadline Thread
If he has to pick between us and Spurs he picks Spurs. No chance us getting him if they accept a bid from them. Think that's why we've bid today to see if Spurs take the bait as well. Gives us a chance to get someone else tomorrow if WBA play hardball. The Deluded Pablo Diego Jose Francisco wrote:I bet Spurs go in with a bid of £25mil and it gets accepted

Re: The Saido Berahino Deadline Thread
I would imagine as we're not the only club trying to finalise deals before the deadline tomorrow West Brom will also have staff working (as will every other club).UlversToon wrote:How has this offer been made, is it just a case of a message being left on an answerphone and we await a response once the West Brom office is open in the morning?
