I was so pleased with the result last night that I nudged Mrs OT and told her 'I'm in the mood and it's been ages so why don't you head upstairs and I'll join you later'.

She raced upstairs and I turned on the Playstation.

She was really bloody annoyed with me twenty minutes later when she came downstairs to see what I was up to so I had to explain that I hadn't played a game for months.

This. Based on anything I'd read, or people's uninformed comments, I expected it to be a lot more rash or stupid.

Players do it dozens of times during games, every single game. It's just unlucky Tiote has given a penalty away.

Hands in the air in the penalty area isn't that common.

I'd hardly say players frequently keep their arms in against their bodies when contesting aerial balls, but it still takes the attacker to make contact with the ball towards the net, and then hit the arm. It's bad luck more than anything - my bigger issue is that Tiote didn't win the header or do better to mark the guy.

My main issue with Tiote is that he thinks he's good on the ball.

It was idiotic, no question. There's jumping with your arms up for leverage, then jumping with your arms in front of your face. The latter is just stupidity.

Wish I could look at another angle of it, but watching it several times on that video it looks like too much of an odd motion to just be for balance.

Forgot to say, I got the seats I thought I had and we were literally two seats from the home bench. Awful for watching the game (I now know why McLaren sits up top for the first half) but genuinely fascinating to see how involved he was close up. Even at 4-1 he was still getting very vocal and annoyed when players (mainly Tiote...) didn't look up and use players on the run, or waste a chance to turn and switch to the more open wing. He definitely wants us playing good football, and was constantly shouting at the likes of Aarons to make some space. He also shouted at Willo to get through the middle before that goal.

Added bonus was seeing Colo in his suit. He's a handsome devil.
