Anyone see Jim White's exclusive with Robert Kraft? Said he came close to buying Liverpool in the past but didn't for personal reasons at the time, didn't rule anything out in the future but said if he did buy a club it would be to build something and win, and that making money doesn't motivate him at this point in his life. Would make him different to all the other american owners who see our league for the $$'s.

I might write him a letter to buy us that definitely won't make it to him. <awe>

I actually hung out with some Boston billionaires a couple years ago. Gonna see if any of them know him and try and get a message to him.

As ya do <laugh> how does something like that even happen?!

He's a great owner, lets his management get on with it and doesn't meddle. He developed the surrounding area of Gillette Stadium and is heavily involved with the local community, literally the polar opposite to Ashley. I know the PL is a different beast to the NFL but the bloke is a true gent and would be a great addition to the league.

I met a guy in London who went to private school out there. As my dad lives about 90 minutes from Boston I went up to visit him a few times, one drunken night we ended up meeting his old school friends. All I can really remember is one of them leaving a pile of coke for me in the toilet of a cigar shop/bar, and smoking some $500 cigars. I've asked, and none of them know/have links to him <grim>

Yeah! I went to one circus themed party, where they had a big top tent, fire breathers, ice sculptures, ball pits, light up dance floors etc. It was insane.

I wonder if we all wrote to him, he might take a look.

I'd be happy with any tickets I can get my hands on. <awe> Been the past two years to see the Jags. Wouldn't mind getting to the Bengals game.

AFC/NFC championship predictions anyone?

No guesses as to who I want to win the AFC, whether or not I think we'll do it is another matter. I'm still going with the Patriots in a tight game going down to the wire.

NFC, Panthers.

Really can't see the Broncos winning , especially with Manning starting, I know they beat the Steelers but it was hardly down to Mannings performance.

I think we're something like 1-3 in Denver in the playoffs. Hoy in the fact that it's snowing on the east coast and you can't not look at how easily we threw away home field advantage as a bad decision.

Meh, at least we kept it competitive until the end but it wasn't an enjoyable watch. Hard to look passed the Panthers mind, could be another Seattle style roasting and that's not me being bitter (okay, maybe a little bit).
