Re: The Mathieu Debuchy Thread
If they really are that open to the idea, we could line-up the deal in advance with the condition it will be completed if they crash out against the Danes?

Now that Chelsea have signed Xtapolapocetl at right back, perhaps Lille will stop trying to hold out for a higher bid as much...

Plus he came from the same league, is much younger and very highly rated and only cost £7m so they can f*** off with their hard ball negotiating tactics <wenger>Beatski wrote:Now that Chelsea have signed Xtapolapocetl at right back, perhaps Lille will stop trying to hold out for a higher bid as much...

We should give them Tavernier. He sounds French and is a rb. Straight swap.

Why didn't we go for Azpilicueta before Chelsea?

I'd say there were a number of big teams in for him!You Can Call Me Yo wrote:Why didn't we go for Azpilicueta before Chelsea?

Re: The Mathieu Debuchy Thread
I think we must be confident of landing Debuchy or someone because we never normally panic buy in the last few days, and Simmo hasn't signed a deal so he's a liability at the moment. If they weren't confident of getting someone they should have been at least making enquiries for players to challenge Simmo, as Raylor won't challenge him and Santon has his name engraved on the LB spot.

Interestingly there really hasn't been any talk of Simpson going anywhere lately...which is funny because he actually has the most reason to be sold (what with his contract being the only one near its end)Le Quiff wrote:I think we must be confident of landing Debuchy or someone because we never normally panic buy in the last few days, and Simmo hasn't signed a deal so he's a liability at the moment. Re: The Mathieu Debuchy Thread
Exactly. I know Ashley would rather sell now and recoup money than let Simmo go for free at the end of the season. It's a weird one for sure. RB is definitely the weak spot in our team and our current RB won't even sign a deal...I'm With Colo wrote:Interestingly there really hasn't been any talk of Simpson going anywhere lately...which is funny because he actually has the most reason to be sold (what with his contract being the only one near its end)Le Quiff wrote:I think we must be confident of landing Debuchy or someone because we never normally panic buy in the last few days, and Simmo hasn't signed a deal so he's a liability at the moment.
