Mbemba is pure class, stakes are high we won't ever get such a good defender anymore at Anderlecht.
He always had to recover the mistakes made by some s*** players next to him, also he is a really good header and had some great rushes up front like Kompany in the old days pre-Manchester . Actually it's a real bargain, you won't regret him.

I'm really excited for this signing, it looks like we finally have a defender who won't make 10+ mistakes a season.

A good defender?
Yeah. And then he gets shoehorned into full back and left on the bench to make way for Williamson.

We still need another CB in addition to Mbemba, and shipping out Willo and possibly Colo as well. But this could be the most important signing of the window by far, we'll see much fewer headless chicken impersonations this season coming if Krul has decent CBs in front of him.

I think they both will, if either of them does stay, they will next summer. Also now if we've got a better fitness staff maybe Steven Taylor will stay fit. <divax> He's done both achilles and had them surgically repaired so there's low risk of those reoccurring (whereas it's common if 1 achilles goes the other one does too). Most of his other injuries were broken bones I think?

He will be here forever! <kray>

On a serious note though, how long does Willo have left on his contract?

Meaning that if Ashley wants to get any money for him at all, he'll try and sell this window! Same goes for Colo too ovbiously...

Colo won't go, unless San Lorenzo come in with a bid. If they don't he'll probably go there next year.

Anderlecht is rond met Newcastle United over de transfer van Chancel Mbemba. De Congolese verdediger moet enkel nog zijn medische testen afleggen en Anderlecht mag tien miljoen euro bijschrijven op zijn rekening.

The transfer of Mbemba is official. Only needs to do his medical tests.

I think the opposite ;)

We sold Marcin Wasilewski to Leicester a few years ago and we travel a few times a year to England to see games of him.

With Mitrovic en Mbemba now,it will be the same. Hope to see you out there 8)

Is it just me or have the PSV and Anderlecht fans been super nice about us taking their best players? Much love from Newcastle to you guys who are so gracious and obviously true fans of the game!

If these come off, and they perform as we hope, I may need to get an Anderlecht shirt <awe>
