Isn't he a full back though? So wouldn't be challenging Willo. Why oh why can't we just buy some CBs?
Apparently he is primarily a CB but can play RB too.

As for Mitrovic we need to factor in 2 weeks whilst his dad decides on what tracksuit he should wear to the medical.

Is that referring to the transfer or just the lack of social activities in Benton?

This is a decent read giving some insight into Mitrovic and Mbemba

I think we will definitely get another striker in, Mitrovic is a risky signing given his age and discipline issues. So think Austin will still be in our sights.

The Chronicle saying it could be done tomorrow. You'd think if he's doing the medical they'd announce it today. Mind you they did wait til the day after for Wijnaldum didn't they?

His father Ivica is a big influence. When Mitrovic was younger it was his dad who persuaded him to give up his dream of being a goalkeeper – something that he did, belatedly, in a Champions League game when Anderlecht had three men sent off and he put his hand up to take over.
Didn't Shearer start as a goalkeeper as well? Let's get carried away <diva>

€16.5m fee + add ons with Mitrovic earning £60k a week (before tax) with Anderlecht getting 5% of his next move. Partizan Belgrade also getting 10% of this transfer. €2m will be split between Mitrovic's family and Pini Zahavi.
Supposedly.

I just looked on his Facebook page and everyone commenting on that status are either Anderlecht fans thanking him and wishing him luck at Newcastle, or Newcastle fans welcoming him...

Don't be surprised if Porto put in an increased bid.
