I think that's a big shout, going into a relegation dogfight with Shelvey as the deep lying midfielder is terrifying.

It is. Unfortunately though that was happening whether Hayden is fit or not though.

This. Hendrick & Shelvey . Willock has brought a fresh air to the midfield with his energy, running & eye for a goal but playing with those two mentioned & covering for them won't be easy. I hope we get to see more of the Longstaffs instead of those two but knowing Bruce it's unlikely. I think this would be the perfect time to revert to a back three and two in midfield. Against Spurs go for this..

3-4-1-2 formation.. It allows us to keep Miggy in his best position & pressure high up the pitch while having the wing-backs (Murphy/Lewis) give us pace down the sides & crossing ability. Also gives us protection at the back reverting to a back 5 when defending & a back three when attacking.

**Any of the longstaffs would do for me. I prefer Matty though if I had to pick, think him & Willock would bring so much energy, youth & legs in the engine room.. alongside Miggy's pace & work-rate it'll be a nice balance.

***If there not fit & ready for Spurs then Fraser & Joelinton it'll be.

It would work better if we had a ball-playing CB like Lejune or Schar but Clark is decent enough on the ball & if it doesn't work after an hour we can bring on Shelvey?

Does Bruce even have this amount of tactical nous?
