I for one am thinking of the children who witnessed that and on Monday morning will all be doing lamentable headbutts in the playground. I've taken miniOT outside and taught her how it should be done so she doesn't embarrass herself and besmirch the family name.

Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
Pardew definitely deserves to be criticised and fined for his reaction. But since when is it OK for a player to push an opposition manager out of the way?! If that had been Wenger, Mourninho or Ferguson the media would be up in arms about the lack of respect of players. I expect Ferguson would have done more than a headbutt back too

Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
After sleeping on it, these are the key points:
- Meyler was out of order shoving Pardew, which he did with some force. If he stamped down on his foot even moreso. I think personally that the yellow was justified and it wouldn't be out of order for him to have been sent off.
- Pardew should have then had a word with him and left it, but for some f***ing reason thinks "oh I'll headbutt him" and goes for him. He should get a hefty fine on top of the £100,000 the club has levied and I think he'll be lucky to get off with a five match ban; and he deserves any fine and ban he gets.
- The media love revelling in the "Newcastle soap opera". They're total f***ing hypocrites - Robbie Savage talking about setting an example and how Meyler was some kind of innocent saint when he (Savage) is the player with the highest number of PL yellows behind Lee Bowyer. Savage by name, savage by nature. It was a disgrace that the BBC didn't show any analysis of what was a great game for the neutrals, imagine if they'd done that to Man U or some f***ing club that all the glory seekers w*** over. But it's OK, fat crying Geordies, hahaha!
- I don't think we can say there was a "coming together of heads". Pardew definitely went to hit his head into Meyler's. While I'm glad that he's invested in the game, it's absolutely ludicrous and reflects very poorly on his temperament and nature. He won't get the sack, and I don't think he deserves it, but he is going to have to pussyfoot very gently in the future.
- Carver on the touchline is going to be a disaster.

Meyler is a little s***, I'm not condoning what Pardew did at all but as mentioned above, pushing the opposition manager out of the way is unacceptable behaviour.

Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
The incident was hilarious at the time, though I only thought he shoved him at first till I got home and saw the replay. Inexcusable either way really, but it's been blown out of proportions a tad. People calling for him to be sacked? Joke.
Pretty hefty fine already, and probably a lengthy touchline ban. Deservedly so, too. But being sacked? f*** off!
Meyler is a cronut too though. You can't bombard into an opposition manager like that.

Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
Pardew should be sacked. Already thought so and this is another reason piled on top.
He's the manager of a football and should held to much higher standards than the players in my opinion. How many managers have you ever seen headbutt a player? It's a disgrace.
I've heard some fans say "he's showing passion" "he did it for the club" "what about Shelvey". That is just all ****. Would we be happy if our players showed that passion and went around head butting opposing players? I know I certainly wasn't when Remy did it.
He's a pathetic cronut who is achieving basically the bare minimum of what should be achieved by the club this season. We are 8th. We comfortably have a top 8 squad, so that meets expectations at best. Any manager worth their salt should have us in this position. Especially considering how s**** the lower half if the league has been this season.

Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
A lot of people coming out today saying they think he'll resign over it. Can't see that happening personally, although I agree it will be exceptionally difficult for him to receive any kind of respect from the players now. If I was him I'd walk, but then again if I was him I wouldn't be sticking my nut into opposition player's faces.

Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
If Pardew had any self respect he would have walked away a long time ago. Unfortunately, he clearly doesn't and that was only further proved yesterday. The man is a cronut of the highest order, and comes across as a massive narcissist so I very much doubt he will have the dignity to resign.

Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
I was thinking that. Club just release a statement to show they've done something and just draw a line under it - and also try and reduce the FA's punishment.

Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
Having slept on it I'm starting to see how much of an over reaction is happening over it, yes its unacceptable behaviour but is it really any worse than when its a player on player incident, its all in the same circumstances with high emotions.
Also I am starting to get sick of how liberally the term headbutt is used, a head butt causes damage, putting your head into someone with minimal force in the manner you see is aggressive and confrontational but its not a headbutt.

Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
If I was Pardew this morning, I'd be thinking 'might as well've been hung for a sheep as a lamb' - the amount of Daily-Mail-Reader type hysteria that's gone one, I'd be wishing I'd taken all Meyler's front teeth out.
What a player! What a signing! What a day for Newcastle United! .. actual BBC commentary from Moussa Sissoko's first game for Newcastle United
Re: Your thoughts on the Pardew-Meyler incident?
I can't believe he's basically said "I can't control myself". He's a fifty year old man and he can't handle a little push? He's absolutely f***ing pathetic.

Daily MailBut two of Newcastle’s past heroes, striker Alan Shearer and ex-manager Graeme Souness, publicly branded Pardew’s position at the club untenable and insisted United owner Mike Ashley had every right to tear up the 52-year-old’s contract, which has six years to run.
