I don't think the Hillsborough families will ever allow it to happen. They'll put too much pressure on the government/FA to ensure it'll never happen.

It's got Nothing to do with them tho. And the fans who want it far outweigh them and the minority that don't want it.Heisen wrote:I don't think the Hillsborough families will ever allow it to happen. They'll put too much pressure on the government/FA to ensure it'll never happen.
I'm pretty certain we'll see it within the next few years.

It's got EVERYTHING to do with them, have you not paid any attention? This wouldn't even be a thing if it weren't for them.Bodacious Benny wrote:It's got Nothing to do with them tho. So should every family that's ever lost someone in a car accident have a say whenever there is a change to motoring regulations?Matthieu wrote:It's got EVERYTHING to do with them, have you not paid any attention? This wouldn't even be a thing if it weren't for them.Bodacious Benny wrote:

Why should they decide what's safe for fans? Should we convert all the bundesliga stadiums to all seaters even tho they're perfectly safe with standing sections?
Fully expecting you to disagree as you can't handle anyone having a different opinion to you for some reason.

Oh I fully agree with you. Just saying I can already see the s***-storm that is going to be kicked up, the media coverage it'll get. I just don't know if the FA and government will introduce it with all the hassle that they'll give them.Bodacious Benny wrote:It's got Nothing to do with them tho. Of course not, My point is entirely in line with yours, I think it's ridiculous that standing isn't allowed at premier league grounds.
I don't know what else to say, I've stated multiple times that standing should be allowed.
Maybe my English isn't good enough for you to understand, it is a third language to me, yet i've managed to hold a job in the States for over ten years with it. So surely I made it clear that I think safe standing should be allowed, no? What are you even arguing?
I'll bite - My entire point is those families have all the power, those are facts. They shouldn't, but they do. I'm not on their side, i'm simply stating what is true, do you not get that?

Agreed. This from Liverpool fans that so live in the past they sing a 50 year old anthem twenty times a game and idolise a manager who has been dead for 30 years. Believe me they don't move on.

Our anthem is over a century old and all of our successful managers are dead. :/

Just read wiki. He won 45% of his games and stepped up from youth development into hot seat after we rumbled Souness. He did ok.

Better than ok. Achieved that with the worst injury crisis i've ever witnessed. We had kids from the youth set up starting league games against top teams. Kids that were never really good enough to get anywhere near the first team.Holystone... wrote:...Heisen wrote:RoederI still have a soft spot for him for some reason.

Roeder was immense for us.

I was always a bit disappointed he didn't go back to the youth team once he left the manager job.

Same here. Ill health though wasn't it. Seem to remember he took a break from football.Colly wrote:I was always a bit disappointed he didn't go back to the youth team once he left the manager job.
Would have been great to have kept him around though.

I thought his break from football was before us? Managed West Ham, cancer, then a low key return through our youth setup before the managerial job opened up?
Edit: Just checked, he took the manager job at Norwich straight after us which I have no recollection of whatsoever. Now working in Sheff Weds coaching staff.

Really? Don't remember that either. And yeah you are right his ill health was before. Memory isn't what it used to be.Colly wrote:I thought his break from football was before us? Managed West Ham, cancer, then a low key return through our youth setup before the managerial job opened up?
