Re: NUFC summer transfer/rumours thread.
I'll start
Newcastle were linked last summer with 20 year-old Inverness CT play-maker Ryan Christie, and the Tyneside club is again being linked with the player today.
Ryan Christie – Inverness 20 year-old play-maker
The attacking midfielder is said to be a target of several Premier League clubs and they include Newcastle United and Everton, and the fee being talked about is a low £1M to get him away from the Scottish club – although the youngster said in February he wanted to stay at Inverness.
Ryan has played 37 times this season with 4 goals and 3 assists, and he made his club debut in the Scottish Premier League match against Celtic in December, 2013 at age 18.
In total the attacking midfielder has appeared for Inverness 54 times with 7 goals and 3 assists since then.
He is the son of Charlie Christie, who was a top midfielder at the same club for ten years from 1994, and was manager of the club from 2006-2007.
Ryan was born in Inverness, and joined the Inverness Caledonian Thistle youth system as a youngster, and eventually made his debut for the club in the Scottish Premiership match against Celtic in late December of last year.
Inverness were 5th in the Scottish Premier league last season and they are currently in 3rd place this season.
It’s important that Newcastle sign these young players who have massive potential.
Newcastle are in with a decent chance of getting this 20 year-old in the summer.

Re: NUFC summer 2015 transfer/rumours thread.
I've seen various 'Janmaat to Liverpool or Southampton' stories in the last few weeks.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?
Re: NUFC summer 2015 transfer/rumours thread.
It is difficult on Janmaat as obviously he will go if the bids come in, but on the other hand talks of a new contract and of him getting the captaincy next year suggest that the club are more keen to keep him than Sissoko/Tiote. I think it will take a fee above £10m to get Janmaat, especially if more than one club want him. I also don't think he will push for a move like Sissoko.

I think he'll stay personally. I'll be gutted if he leaves though.Bodacious Benny wrote:I've seen various 'Janmaat to Liverpool or Southampton' stories in the last few weeks.

Charlie Austin looks to be down to nufc, Everton, and Southampton, with nufc in the lead. Any word if that's changed?

Too expensive. We'll get someone like Junior Tallo.MoonPie05 wrote:Charlie Austin looks to be down to nufc, Everton, and Southampton, with nufc in the lead. Any word if that's changed?

Let the Sky millions roar the team home. Let the bulging cash account suck a goal into the Gallowgate net when it’s most needed.
I’m out; let them sink or swim without me, for the near future at least.

Re: NUFC summer 2015 transfer/rumours thread.
I think this thread should operate under the assumption that we stay up. If we're to be in the championship, the only move that will matter is that of Ashley out of the owner's position.

Is the extra £10m because he scored a hattrick against the Mackems?Toondes wrote:I'm sure I read on here today something about us putting a £15m bid for Bolasie.

Ignore the noise of a major clear out. Two new players in ( but we will get fed the struggle we had getting them over the line). Very few shipped out.
Ashley tells you it's raining. Do you look out the window?

We need to ship out as many as we can. Less than 10 of our players are good enough to be regulars in the Premier League at the moment.Holystone... wrote:Ignore the noise of a major clear out. I just don't envisage a huge clear out . He won't be willing to spend that amount of money (it will cost much more to replace than we sell them for).
I really want it to happen but I think 5-6 in and 4 out .

Tiote, Williamson and Coloccini should go as well.
Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 15/16)
I entirely agree that Tiote, Williamson and Coloccini should go. As should Anita, Gouffran, Obertan and Riviere.
However, I don't think they will. Who'd buy them for a start (except Colo to San Lorenzo)?

Think Tiote still holds some value. As for the rest though, they're not top division players. Only hope would be a newly promoted side takes a gamble on them.hoofball wrote:I entirely agree that Tiote, Williamson and Coloccini should go. As should Anita, Gouffran, Obertan and Riviere.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 15/16)
Newcastle United are looking to add three strikers to their squad this summer – with Papiss Cisse’s future increasingly unclear.
Desperate for points to avoid being dragged further into the relegation fight, United head to Leicester on Saturday for a crucial Premier League game. But planning behind the scenes continues to focus on being in the top flight next year and how to remodel a squad that has proved unfit for purpose this season.
It is understood that United, who may listen to offers for Cisse, are monitoring the availability of Chelsea’s Patrick Bamford – who has proved such a success during a loan spell with Middlesbrough. They would face competition for the 21-year-old, with Aston Villa, Southampton and Everton also interested, but are open to the idea of bringing a player in on loan to fill gaps in their squad.
That plan could be torpedoed if Boro are promoted but Bamford will return to the Premier League next season one way or another. “I don’t have any reason not to be at Chelsea,” Bamford said recently.
“It is my dream to put on that blue shirt and play for them eventually. However, after two years regularly playing out on loan, going back and sitting on the bench wouldn’t really help me. It’s down to those at the top at Chelsea to decide what will be the best for my career and what to do next year.”
United have also been linked with Aleksandar Mitrovic of Anderlecht and Charlie Austin of QPR – while they have made an enquiry about Burnley’s Danny Ings, who is set to leave Turf Moor at the end of the season.
Newcastle may also lose senior players and Cisse’s position is under threat despite an 11-goal campaign that has seen him return to his best. Swansea have been linked with the striker. United have been buffeted by criticism since the Wear-Tyne derby loss and an under-fire John Carver knows that he needs to reverse a run of seven straight defeats to prevent Newcastle being dragged into a relegation fight that they look ill-equipped for.
