Moussa Sissoko is among the 120 most valuable players

The CIES Football Observatory have produced a list of the worlds most valuable players from the pool of player playing in the top 5 leagues in the world (English, Spanish, French, Italian and German).

The only Newcastle player to make the list is Moussa Sissoko who is joint 106th and valued at £20 million.

The other players joint 106th with Sissoko (Newcastle) are Matuidi (PSG), Bernat (Munich), De Gea (Man Utd), Icardi (Inter), Lamela (Spurs), Mertens (Napoli), Cahill (Chelsea), Mangala (Citeh), Mkhitaryan (Dortmund), Thiago (Munich), Insigne (Napoli), Ribery (Munich), Schweinsteiger (Munich) and Van Persie (Man Utd). So he is at least in good company.

The top 10 most valuable players are:

1. Messi (Barca) - €220m.
2. Ronaldo (R.Madrid) - €133m.
3. Hazard (Chelsea) - €99m.
4. Costa (Chelsea) - €84m.
5. Pogba (Juve) - €72m.
6. Aguero (Citeh) - €65m.
7. Sterling (Liverpool) - €63m.
8. Fabregas (Chelsea) - €62m.
9. Sanchez (Arsenal) - €61m.
10. Bale (R.Madrid) - €60m.

Messi has proved to be more valuable than Ronaldo like expected. The major shock is Sterlings inclusion in the top 10 and the fact that Ayoze Perez is not included on the list. Young Ayoze will no doubt go on to top such lists one day.
