Your starting eleven predictions for Palace away (LC)

Post by Asprillasfurcoat »

Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere today, thought I'd start at new thread coz I wasn't sure where to put it (ooo-er missus!)

Warnock was on TalkSport this morning, said that there are '6 or 7 players I haven't had a chance to look at yet, so they'll get a game against Newcastle'

So if Palace are fielding and understrength / experimental side, will we :

a. Go for the win - regardless of MA's instructions, this club desperately needs a lift

b. Turn up and hope for the best with a proper side, but not take advantage of the situation

c. Also field an understrength side

Personally, with the club in such a malaise, I think it'd be insanity not to field a full strength squad, go for the win and give us fans something positive to focus on. But then, as we know, NUFC's got plenty of previous when it comes to insanity!!

Should play our best 11. We need a win for the confidence. I'd drop Riviere and play Cisse if fit, or Perez if not. I'd also play Taylor instead of Willo.

We'll play the majority of our usual first team 11, with the likes of Saylor and Anita probably coming in, but we'll probably manage to lose still.

I'd go:
<krul>

<janmaat> <satka> <streete> <haidara>

<sissoko> <colback> <anita> <ameobi>

<riviere> <perez>
Saylor for either Satka or Streete but I'd prefer to give youth a chance. Give Riviere a chance up front with a partner.
Give Tiote and Cisse a rest to get back to full fitness.

Tioté's fit and we've got Colback now, so Anita is probably a right-back as far as Pardew's concerned.

I'm all for trying young players, but Pardew would get slaughtered if we lost with those centre halves, just as he was slated for an actually fairly strong side when we lost to Cardiff last year. Front six looks decent, but you need some experience at the back especially when Janmaat is new and Haidara is young and fringe-y.

Yeah that's fair. Saylor in for either one of them then and then if all foes to plan bring the other one. Start Satka and Saylor and finish with Streete and Saylor.

I'm really not big on changing CBs mid-match, unless one is playing disasterously, or becomes injured.

I'd like either Bigi or Abeid to get a chance, not both tho.

Bigi's playing for the reserves literally now, so he won't be in.

<sissoko> <abeid> <anita> <ameobi>

<riviere> <perez>

I'd start Riviere even though he's s*** as Cisse probably isn't fit enough to play this game and the one at the weekend

We play Monday night so he'd have an extra day or two to recover. But yeah, I wouldn't rush him back too quickly.

Armstrong wasn't involved at all for the reserves tonight so I'd imagine he'll play some role. I don't think he'll start. I think Riviere will still start as he needs to score. I predict Krul; Janmaat, Taylor, Colocinni, Haidara; Anita, Tiote; Gouffran, Cabella, Obertan; Riviere.

I'd play Cabella too, he needs games and he needs a goal or a good assist to boost his confidence and his standing with the crowd a bit.
