Doesn't matter if it's a friendly, for set pieces, we should be trying new things not sticking with the same old s*** we have done for years under Pardew.

And besides it is the first friendly of pre-season, it is all about getting match fit again.

Man City lost 2-0 against Dundee the other day with a decent side out. Just thought I'd mention that before anyone takes this result too seriously. It's all about fitness atm that's it.

Don't forget we lost our first friendly 6-1 the season we finished fifth.
It was the wake up call we needed, just like then.

Why bother reading into pre-season friendlies?

We had a dire pre season when we finished fifth. These games are for fitness.

Some of the comments on this thread remind me why I try to avoid match threads

De Jong scored a great goal, shows he's capable of good goals at least. As for the score IDC.

It's a terrible over reaction from some about the result last night. You'd think that losing to Oldham in a pre-season friendly would be incentive enough to make Thor have a sex change or something.
