Each to their own though, bet or no bet we all obviously want Newcastle to win and no amount of backing the opposition team (Sunderland or not) will change that. I had Man City to beat us starting with a -2 goal handicap at the start of the season and won £80.
Needless to say I'd have been overjoyed if we came away from there with even a point, but did I think for a second when the winnings came in to my account I was being disloyal for betting against us? Did I ****, that was the next two weeks food shopping covered
