Morning all.

Didn't snow and now I have a miffed little girl who was looking forward to bombarding me with snow balls this weekend.

Damn you BBC weather man!! You gave us hope. You gave us dreams and then you dash them and ruin our lives with your inability to forecast with 100% accuracy.

I showed her the local forecast last night and it said it would start snowing at 9pm, so miniOT asked if she could stay up until then. Seeing it's half-term, I agreed.

At 9pm, we're looking out the window and nothing.

I get back onto the BBC and look again. Going to start at 10. She pleads with me to stay up but I can't let her so she goes to bed all excited.

I'm outside at 10pm having a smoke. No snow.
11pm. No snow.
Midnight. Nothing, so I go to bed.

MiniOT wakes me at 3am and tells me there is no snow. I put her back to bed.
4am. She's waking me up to tell me there's nothing.
I put her to bed and lock her in her room

7am I get up, throw open the curtain and there's nothing.
I unlock the beast, wake her up and she bounds to the window and looks disappointed.

She'll no doubt have taken one of two life lessons from this; either she will have learned that you don't always get what you hope for, or that Dad is a lying bastard. Fingers crossed it goes well for you!

I've been trying to convince her for a few years that giant invisible purple chickens live in the house with us and you can only see them if you believe in them.
