I think Coloccini needs to be left out for a game or two. He unfortunately doesn't seem to have the stomach for the fight anymore, and his constant rash decisions at the back is costing us.
I know it's wishful thinking but I hope McClaren gets a hold of Tiote and gets his him going, because we need ...

Re: Manchester Utd vs Newcastle Utd – 22/08/15
The one negative for me today was Obertan. I'm not really his harshest critic but the number of times he left his runner was embarrassing. I felt sure it was going to cost us in the end. Luckily it didn't. Anyways great team performance, plenty of positives for sure.

Re: Portland Timbers vs Newcastle United
I think it's a pretty hefty trip to get from Portland to Newcastle.Don't imagine it being just one flight. He's probably factoring in jet-lag, day off after all the travelling to. It's probably been good for the atmosphere and team spirit within the group. But you can see he would've done it ...

Re: Portland Timbers vs Newcastle United
Watching Steve's interview on NUFC TV after the game you can tell he was not happy about this trip. Too much travel, in too short a period of time. His expression when talking about playing Sheff Utd on Sunday, after two solid days of travelling home said it all as well really.

Man City lost 2-0 against Dundee the other day with a decent side out. Just thought I'd mention that before anyone takes this result too seriously. It's all about fitness atm that's it.

Yeh we seen to have got absolutely horrendous opening day fixtures over the last few years, city united arsenal all spring to mind.
It would be nice to have a home banker for once. Spread abit of optimism, or ramp up the pressure on Pards

It's weird how Gomis is now our plan B, back up option, when we've been chasing the guy for atleast the past 6 months. More smoke and mirrors?

Re: Your ideal (realistic) replacement for Pardew?
I can just picture if we do sack Pardew and we start poorly next year, all the national media and 'pundits' will be giving it large, this is what they deserve for sacking Pardew, what do they expect up there etc etc.
Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it. They seem to think it's crazy he's ...

Apparently he's had an argument with Ben Arfa again this weekend. Obviously blaming Hatem again for us getting mauled. Looks a cert he will be getting sold in the summer.

I'm sure I read on here that Pardew wanted to sign Lallana a couple of years ago for 6 million but Carr overruled him.

Something similar in the Mirror apparently. Also mentions the rumours that Ashley is planning to sell up soon.

Re: Match Preview - Sunderland (h), 01/02/14
If you've seen things i have wrote in the past I have supported Pardew but after today I think I'm done. The hoofball to Shola tactic was absolutely disgraceful, sickening even. I cant defend Pardew after that. I usually cant stand the way we go ott with our reaction after results but not today ...

haha could be- I know he had McLeish & Advocaat at Rangers. Obviously Pards & Hughton at us, don't know who at Schalke, Hughton & Clark at Birmingham, and Olsen at Denmark. Hardly stand outs I supposeMaybe he was the best of a bad bunch![]()
Who else has he had?

Its not really like that mate, they ask you who's the best tactician you've worked under etc.. then the player gives their answer.Or Lovenkrands was being polite.

No really sure where to put this but just seen Fantasy Football show with Lovenkrands on it. He says Pardew is the best tactician & gives the best half time team talks of all the managers he's worked with. Discuss

Kinnear's column should be interesting tomorrow. I watched Pards press conference from yesterday on NUFCTV & he looked so deflated. He must be so frustrated too.

Re: The True Geordie
Based on the figures from the summer of 2012, we owe Mike Ashley 267 million quid according to Deloitte. Even if he was trying to take back the money we owe him bit by bit. it would take more than a decade probably. So its pretty safe to safe Ashley is here for the long term given the fact we don't ...
