Re: Match thread - Wolves v Toon

Whether a foul or not he should not have tried to catch it. He should be looking to punch that out on 95 mins and not catch it.

Lack of experience but will only get better

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)

I know we moan about transfers but anyone else think we waste loads with poor scouting.

Where were w3 when Watford were buying Quina, Hughes, Chalobah? Quina was 1m for a 19 year old and looked better than anyone in our midfield.

Everyone moans about lack of funds but I would also be reluctant to ...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Brighton

He's a s*** manager living off his past glories. In 2 and a half years we've seen nothing that stands out as brilliant management. Just a bloke who whines constantly about not having enough money to spend and rips into his squad publicly for not being good enough. He took us down(although he was ...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Brighton

Benitez’s recruit has been ok - it’s always gotten the job done, although it now seems ditching Gayle, Mitro and Merino could prove very risky. To me, we’ve swung in the complete opposite direction to the Carr recruitment era, whereby the manager is essentially provided with players. We need to be ...

Re: Match thread - NUFC v Leicester

We are a Championship side masquerading as a PL side. Last season our fight, spirit and togetherness allowed us to punch above our weight but that seems to have deserted us this year, probably due to the fact they know Benitez is going at the end of the season, and the fact the fans are in open ...

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 31 AUGUST/2 SEPTEMBER 2018

They look bloody useful! What a start - I thought they would struggle but will soon have such a head start they will be safe.

Good solid team

Yeah I had them pegged as relegation candidates but they've come flying out of the traps. Long way to go but they certainly seem like they should be ...

People like to overcomplicate football, but put someone strong and decent in the air in the box and get crosses into them and you'll do alright as Watford have just demonstrated.

Re: Loan Watch

He scored more in his 1 PL season than anyone else in our squad ever has in a PL season.

<ok>

9 in 34 games, at the age of 21 in his first season in the Prem is a pretty f***ing good haul, especially when a chunk of them will have been sub appearances. He could easily be a 1 in 2 man in the ...

<guns>

Another 2 goals for Mitro tonight

Don’t be telling me you suddenly think he would have scored a hat full in the premiership. Vydra scores loads in championship, Deeney scored 20+ 3 seasons in a row but scored his first from open play in 25 games week b4 last,

Very different ball game ...

Agree that top 7 a little OTT.

I do wonder what an owner like the Pozzos could do for a club like Newcastle. Far better than a rich billionaire just throwing cash around.

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 2/5 FEBRUARY 2018

Watford have rubbish upfront and at back but have one of strongest midfields in division. That Doucoure is a beast and made Kante and Hazard look like park players. No way will they go down with their midfield

That Barcelona signing looks quality plus even brought on Pereya who was a sub. Would be ...

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Everton

Sums it up. Fans on here thinking we played well.

We are not in championship anymore 1 point in 24. You cannot play well and not score - whole point of the game. Not our teams or Rafa fault - you cannot polish a turd. Our players are not premiership quality - no one in the 1st 11 would ge5 ...

Re: Match Day thread . NUFC v Leicester

Jfc... I logged on to ask why no one was talking about Murphy's pass for the first goal, and everyone's rambling on about being as bad as Pardew and McLaren. The squads Pards and Schteve had their disposal compared to the current one were f***ing world-beaters.

We have a Championship standard ...

Re: Match Day thread . NUFC v Leicester

We are 16th. We would all have settled for that position at start of season - there will be 3 teams on lower po8nts than us at end of season. That is all that counts. Basically a point a game will be enough.

Going through a dodgy patch but was not too disappointed yesterday

Re: Match day - Chelski v NUFC

It's not the defeat today, I think everyone expected the loss and probably a heavier one than we got (although it probably should have been if not for Darlow saving us quite a few times).

It's the complete lack of game plan and attacking intent. What is our style of play? We play wingers but don ...

Re: Match day - Chelski v NUFC

It's not todays result that hurts, actually surprised is wasn't a heavier defeat, but the losses against the likes of Watford, Bournemouth, Brighton, Huddersfield and Burnley stick in the throat as we need to beating those teams if we're to finish 17th or above.

Have you seen the squads some of ...

Re: Match day - NUFC v Watford

Worryingly weak team that - not one player that should be playing in the premiership

Harsh beyond words. If that's true we might as well give up already.

Maybe harsh but which of above would have made it into that Watford team. Watford are a mid table average premiership team and I doubt ...
